The guy has clearly had a pretty rough life if he has had to resort to console theft. I don't know if I could inflict the Xbone on him, poor soul has suffered enough.

I would give him the PS4 in the hope that it's glory would bring hope and joy back into his life, saving him from a life of crime, steering him on to the right path and saving society from his future misdemeanors.

I would give him the PS4 because it's cheaper to replace.

The Xbox One because the thief would be so ashamed to steal a 720p console that he'd bring it back the next day with flowers and a formal apology.

I tell him CoD Ghosts runs at 720p on XB1 and he runs away in terror. Walk home with both consoles, sell the XB1 on Ebay for $700, keep my PS4.

He wouldn't have to hold me up - I'd just give him the XB1.

He'd probably just apologize and buy you a drink.

Well considering me walking out with an X1 is complete fiction because it would never happen, I would hand him the X1.

Idk, even with no interest in the xbone that's still $500 that I could recoup by walking back into the store with my receipt, or potentially make even more selling it on ebay.

I'd give him the PS4. That way I'd be robbing him of a good gaming experience while I'm back at home laughing, and playing sweet games like Crimson Dragon, Killer Instinct, and Dead Rising 3.

I also live in Canada. After he apologizes to me, I would say: "It's okay man, you must be going through a hard time in life to attempt robbery. Tell you what, Ill go get my money back from the xbox one, we'll get a 40 pounder of whiskey and go play PS4 at my place."

I wouldn't normally buy 2 consoles at one time but probably the PS4. Cheaper to replace.

I'd gamble that he didn't actually have a gun (pfft, it's the UK, there are more fake guns than real ones over here), and if he had a knife, I would gamble that he wasn't sad and depressed enough to actually stab someone over a games console; and just walk on...
