Rumours about Uncharted 4 on PS4 heating up

Would you prefer another Uncharted game?! Or a Last of Us sequel?

I love Uncharted but I think I'd just prefer to see those awesome characters from Last of Us again.

Anyone who has finished it knows there's potential for some huge conflict.

Yuck... I'd hate to see a good dev like naughty dog making a fourth installment of a wholely average franchise like Uncharted. I'd take another last of us, but please retire Uncharted .

Uncharted is one of my fave franchises from this gen and i believe one last Uncharted would be a fitting sendoff similar to MGS4's.

TLOU sequel or prequel would be lovely.

But count on a new IP. ND usually make one each gen.

I don't want sequels to TLOU and yet I loved that game. Uncharted 4 and end the franchise.

I could be wrong but history shows naughty dog makes 4 games per gen and moves on.

so by my thinking they will make a brand new IP for the next gen, shouldn't stick to the same old 3 was enough for uncharted, The last of us was great as a standalone but there are many other stories which could be told and expanded upon.

I never played TLoU but loved Uncharted 2. I wouldn't mind a sequel of any of those.....or a Jak and Daxter sequel...or something new. Just can't wait to see something.

@Tqricardinho: Yeah I'd say An Uncharted 4, a Nathan/Lara spinoff and then end the franchise. And I haven't played TLOU yet but from my grasp of the context I think it's better off without a sequel

Personally, I think I would like a PS4 Uncharted, but it should wrap up the story and then they can move on to their next IP. Uncharted really is such a great 'universe' that it almost deserves a next-gen iteration. However, I do understand that Naughty Dog doesn't like to revisit IP.

I'd like to see a new 3d platformer from them, not too many of those these days, just mario and umm.....nothing else really.

I want Uncharted 4. And it is coming. TLOU2 is happening too but won't release until 2016.

I'd like to see if Naughty Dog can produce a gameplay focused project again. Quite frankly I don't know if they have it in them any more. As it stands now, they haven't produced something I could enjoy for the past 9 years. I'm getting a PS4 anyways... Might as well hope the exclusives are up my alley.

Uncharted 3 was disappointing and I don't need a 4th one just because it will have amazing looking set pieces. Drake and his gang bore me at this point

Yes to Uncharted 4 on next gen hardware. But 4 is enough. If Savage Starlight is a real thing then great, do that too. They always release 4 games per generation so why not do all three.

I don't know if I'd want a new TLoU. I loved the game, but think the ending was a good way to close the story. If there was a new one is rather see it with new characters although that would kind of feel strange.

Uncharted 4, I wouldn't mind. I think it would look fantastic on the hardware.

Yes an average franchise that delivered 3 of the best games from last-gen. By the way, the 3 of them average a 92 on metacritic. A very average franchise indeed.

I don't think a new Jak and Daxter would be as good as everyone thinks it would.

Yep, I'm pretty sure that's the only reason anyone even wants it at this point is just to see how nice it would look on next gen but that's a silly reason really, ND have an incredible team and whatever they do will look fantastic. Plus, I enjoy Uncharted but it's not like it had some sort of interesting overarching narrative, it's just single adventures that you go on that wrap themselves up at the end.

I'm hoping for a new IP by Naughty Dog. Every gen has had a new Sony Mascot created by Naughty Dog and I hope this gen doesn't change that. I'm still game for another Uncharted though.

Neither. Hated Uncharted. Never played TLoU, as my interest in that game was long lost.

That's all the game really has going for it though. The narrative has always been so so and just enough to get by and move things along. Uncharted 2 had the perfect balance of set pieces, gameplay, interesting enough puzzles or platforming for what they were and some stunning environments. It paced it all really really well. But strip away visual spectacle and the Uncharted games are rather terrible.

As far as proper platforming goes they're bad at it. It's point and click. Characters and story are just dumb (though I hate that cheesy Indiana Jones type humour anyway)

I don't know what you've been playing from them but Uncharted and TLOU are "gameplay" focused. What were you expecting?

Yeah, retire Uncharted. Great series... But due retirement. Golden Abyss (though a seperate dev) really sent it over the cliff.

As much as loved uncharted, and tlou is great, one thing ND is great at is coming up with interesting characters and worlds. I'd love to see them show us that new ip talent again.

Uncharted 4. There are still many places to visit and with the PS4's power I'm pretty sure they'll be able to craft something new and unique.

TLOU on the other hand was the story about the cure. How can you top a story that was about saving the human race in a game like this? What kind of premise ND would be able to create to justify a sequel to this series?

None of my friends who have the PS3 bought TLoU. Maybe it gets a re-release on PS4, so i can play it :)

Uncharted 4 and then give the franchise to the Vita. Don't end it but just make it like a handheld franchise.

To be honest, I've been rather disappointed by TLOU and the last Uncharted didn't really do it for me either. There are points in both games that make me want to smash my controller into a thousand pieces.I'm really getting sick of the bullet sponge enemies and shitty combat. Fantastic characters in both franchises though, easily amongst the best this gen, right up there with Mass Effect.
