RUMOR! New Xbox 360 Elite Bundles Up With Halo 3 & Fable II

Ars Technica's "mole" says that the Xbox 360 maker is planning to bundle Halo 3 and Fable II into a new Elite package. If true, that may explain why other retail-sourced rumors indicate that the current version of the Elite console would be phased out by the manufacturer.

Ars' mole has been right before, correctly calling the Resident Evil 5 Elite bundle the company started selling last month.

Wierd, I just traded my Wii with Wii fit to a guy for his Elite with halo 3 and fable 2. Cool.

This might actually sway me into giving the 360 another look. Sony, lower the price or I go the other way. :xAlexSays

Fable 2 (in my opinion) is the Xbox-360's Zelda (aka. Their BEST Action/Adventure game (like the Zelda games)). If you were to rush through the game (it's main quest), it would take you 8-10 hours. However, if you were to soak in all of the details (like setting up a Economic empire and finding all of the Demon doors), the game would take you a while.

Halo 3 is my second favorite Halo game (my favorite being Halo:CE). The game has a good single player campaign and a good multiplayer mode. So you might enjoy this if you're into shooters.

Other games I recomend for you are:Bioshock, Fallout 3, Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie (on Xbox-live-arcade, Viva Pinata, and Call of Duty 4 (there are other good game that you might enjoy).

Rumor has had it that MS would discontinue the Elite bundle except in cases of limited or special editions such as the RE5 bundle.

:o. I already have one, but if I did not have a 360, I would find that to be a very persuading offer.

This is the only time that it makes sense to sell a 360 for the price of a PS3, imo. I always say that the Elite is a horribly priced console (I still feel that... it doesn't everything that a PS3 does, except Blu-Ray...but cost the same!!! Deal of the century :roll: ) but including 2 HQ games makes it worthwhile. Sony should learn from this and start bundling some real deal HQ recent games with their $399. Halo 3 is old, but it's an epic level title. Fable 2 is pretty new and hq exclusive. If they sold Blu-ray + MGS4 + LBP for $399... that's a deal thats hard to turn down.
