If you're using this game as an example then apparently not fighters. Killer Instinct(X1) and the upcoming Smash Bros(WiiU) and GGX3rd(PS4) all look far better than this.
@SolidTy:
..well I may have been here longer than you (:P) and I've never seen that.
In the SWs every faction has their label (sheep, cows.. etc) its only the damn dirty hermits who have come up with every alt under the sun..
"Derp.. we're the manicores.. Derp.. we're the Master Race"
..and they wonder why no one wants them on this forum.
Even once console-centric developers and publishers are now making games for the PC. The PC gaming market has been growing strongly and publishers are taking note. Enslaved Odyssey to the West, Dark Souls 2 and now this game...it seems Bandai Namco has woken up to the fact that the PC is a thriving gaming platform to put their games on.
They're also publishing The Witcher 3. Nice.
With some work on the fighting engine, I think this game could be pretty fun (Think Heavy Metal: Geomatrix or Spawn: Into the Demon's Hand). It has a similar fighting setup but it needs more depth from what I just saw.
It's an alpha so hopefully the beta is better.
You do know why we use that right?
It was literally coined by angry console morons. We ran with it to keep them angry.
Do you have a link for that?
I've been here for a very, very, very long time, yet this is the first I've ever heard of that.
It's from a review of the Witcher, making fun of PC gamers wanting games to be overly complex and acting like elitist douchebags

huh. i didn't realise the term was so ... 'fresh'. tampax fresh.
also, i made this graph to fully eviscerate the issue at hand: http://www.google.com/trends/explore?hl=en-US#q=glorious%20pc%20gaming%20master%20race%2C%20pc%20gaming%20master%20race%2C%20pc%20master%20race&cmpt=q

I remember that Ben Croshaw review from years ago (funny vid as I recall, as many of his are), but I felt the term had been bouncing around before that. I'm not sure if Ben heard it and used it, or if it's a coincidence, or if that is indeed the origin. Unfortunately, many posts have been deleted at GS in my time here so I can't dig up my Xbox/Gamecube/PC/PS2 era posts. This was the oldest one I could find in a limited time tonight (limiting my search to my name and the phrase only in SW), and I'm afraid it's not old enough.
In any event, the phrase certainly took off after that review.
Thanks for the link.
We're talking about Free 2 Play games here, not games in general.
The point was that your quip about "pay to have fun" was stupid. "Pay to have fun" is how nearly all video games work, free to play or not.
"You don't have to pay a cent to have fun in TF2, Dota2, PoE, LoL etc because they're not Pay 2 Win."
And you have no reason to think this one will be.
PC is probably the worst platform for fighting games so it's surprising to see this as a PC exclusive.
Anyway the game looks weird and the "free to play" spooked me away. "free to play" usually = trash.
Free to play can be VERY good if implemented right (Path of Exile, Team Fortress 2, LoL, DOTA, Loadout, ect). However, I don't understand how you would implement F2P in a fighting game without making it P2W. Cosmetic items only?
I'll reserve judgement but if it's not Tekken or Marvel vs. Capcom, why even bother "PC MASTER RACE"?
@ SonySoldier
Actually if the devs don't dick around then the PC Version of a fighting game will have more frames per second. And you know how important that is for fighting gamers. I'd name more advantages but I don't know any. Capcom is the only studio to make fighting games for PC.

There's more developers... Here are just the games I know off available on PC that are fighting games made by other developers
