Revelations 2 (Vita) & Ultra SF4 (PS4) published by Sony

You might’ve heard some big news from Capcom at our first ever PlayStation Experience fan expo. No, not that news. This: Resident Evil Revelations 2 is coming to PS Vita, and Ultra Street Fighter IV is coming to PS4, thanks to a double partnership between Capcom and SCEA’s Third Party Production. What’s more, Third Party Production is producing and publishing both titles for those platforms.

Resident Evil Revelations 2 is the latest, spine-chilling chapter in the Resident Evil franchise. It unfolds in four dramatic episodes with cliffhanger moments that will have you wanting to play more.

Revelations 2 follows fan favorite Claire Redfield and her partner Moira Burton as they struggle to survive the horrors that await them on a mysterious island facility. With his own daughter and comrade in peril, Barry Burton takes fate into his own hands and embarks on a rescue mission to the island to save them both.

It’s a story full of twists that will have players guessing the next steps at every turn. Resident Evil Revelations 2 begins rolling out on PS4 and PS3 on February 17th, 2015, and will also be coming to PS Vita in the Spring.

The Street Fighter series evolves to a whole new level with Ultra Street Fighter IV for PS4, the first Street Fighter title to debut on next-gen consoles anywhere. For those of you who haven’t played the original on PS3, the game boasts five new characters and six new stages for even more fighting mayhem.

The PS4 version will also include all costume DLC released up to date, including both the recently released Vacation and Wild costumes, as well as Omega Mode; it’s the ultimate version of Ultra Street Fighter IV, and it’s only on PS4!

Now, as I announced at PlayStation Experience, both of these titles will come out in spring of 2015. I cannot wait to share more information with you all on these great games closer to launch. Devil May Cry or Resident Evil getting the "console exclusive" deal doesn't seem unlikely at this point.

Yeah, Sony's internal teams are developing the Vita port of Resident Evil, we've known that for a while now.

RE isn't exclusive. And i remember how cows didn't care about Tomb Raider since they had Uncharted after the deal was revealed.

The Tomb Raider reboot was a brown and gray Uncharted clone with awful story and characters. SF and RE don't really have an equal in their genres.

Yet cows liked it when it was multiplat. So much so infact, that they wouldn't shut up about how the Definitive Edition was better on the ps4 and you even tried to take on herms and the pc version, only to backfire.

Yeah, VITA's so good it depends on Sony to actually pay for the port themselves.

Well they are hypocrites. I've always said the new TR was lame.

I thought TR was lame since it first started way back in the 90's and I've said so for many years. The reboot was no-go for me either, even though they spruced it up with a Sony developer and new style. Meh.

I was saving time posting that short blurb. God of War 2's director, Cory Barlog, who strangely enough is now back with Sony.

He left Sony to work at Crystal (who were looking for help in taking TR in a new direction) and after the Tomb Raider reboot he came back. Mission accomplished though for TR, as people seemed to welcome the TR reboot. It was well known in SW for awhile because Barlog is a very high profile hire but that was then. Cray.

Barlog was a Sony dev, then he was an Ex-Sony dev helping Crystal with the reboot, but he's now a Sony dev again.

Late and inferior.

No one wants to make games for the Vita.

I never even played the old ones. It always seemed lame compared to games like RE and Dino Crisis at the time. I think most of its success was because of Lara's design and not the games themselves.

At least 5 threads used to be on main page of system wars (by different users including Damien) complaining about Tomb Raider not being on Ps4 (while others damage controlling that why they don't care). At the same time cows like Demien used to say that No man's sky should go full Ps4 exclusive. Lol.

Sony saved Capcom. They are GODS.

I think this is great news that Sony is working with game publishers to make games more widely available. I'm pretty sure the only reason Yakuza 5 is coming to the west is because of Sonys efforts to make it happen. The vita would probably be completely dead in the water without Sony reaching out to other developers.

Lame. I thought the Vita one was coming out at the same time as the others. I might as well get it on PS4.

RE Revelations 2 looks so bad it should be a remake, but is multiplat anyway.

Capcom will release the game in early 2015 in an episodic form for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, and Xbox One. Once the final episode is released, a complete version will be released.^[6] Sony Computer Entertainment will publish the PlayStation Vita version of the game. ^[7]

lol wtf? Ultra Street Fighter 4 is already on last gen platforms. They are bringing it to PS4. If anything, it's an enhanced port.

Don't mind this at all, cool on Gio and Sony's part, but the late release for Revelations 2, even if it's episodic, doesn't help the Vita too much
