Resistance 3 will be the first AAA FPS of the year. /w complimentary poll!

It is without doubt that Resistance is one of the most solidly consistent FPS franchises to emerge from this gen. Known for it's unique and fantastic weaponry, dark foreboding atmosphere, fast paced gameplay, epic set pieces, a complex and detailed universe/story that expands across nations and even the world, and a deeply addictive multiplayer, the Resistance franchise is a refreshing bright light in the now stagnant genre of FPS. Resistance 3 looks to expand on these things in a big way and become one of the best FPS of the current gen. What say you?

Portal 2 if that counts? But i don't think R3 will score AAA, the game looks extremely mediocre, and there are FPS games that looks to have a much better chance at it like BF3.

The graphics weren't anything special, and I don't base a game's quality on it's graphics anyways. But I didn't notice them getting worse as I progressed. Perhaps your eyesight was slowly deteriorating from the pure awesome unfolding on screen? :P

I don't see why it wouldn't be. I've loved everything I've seen so far and the beta is fun as hell. Maybe I just have a soft spot for Resistance, but I'm super excited for this.

I can't say.

It will definitely be a GREAT game, but I don't know if it'll be a AAA game or not.

It will destroy Killzone 3 and Crysis 2 that's for sure.

The beta was okay, but after level 20 I just stopped playing. I might try playing it again, but I don't feel like Resistance 3 is as fun or as amazing as other games coming out in the same timeframe. The full game better be a lot more polished than the beta, because the game felt pretty lacking IMO.

I see it getting between a 7.5-8.5.

The beta is fun. Can't wait to try out the other maps.

Also, for those still playing it, the atomizer (an electricity gun with the secondary abiliity to shoot gravity wells that damage enemies near the well) is now unlockable as well as health beacon and turret.

I'm finally getting the hang of the mutator and it is fun to use (also one of the most effecient ways to get rid of the leapers). I'm still not sure about the shotgun. It seems a bit overpowered to me.
