They call it play anywhere yet its just windows. Duh this is good but not impactful.

Love how guys are cheering for gamers as if its available for psp and linux aswell or something.

Yes getting a UWP game on Linux and PS4 each with different programming languages and stores, can you be anymore stupid?

Lol actually that's fairly simple and possible if the systems share the core OS like PS4, Mac and Linux do. That's why Linux programs run with no to little modifications on Mac.

Ah, no. LOL!! The Mac is "Unix" based. Linux is not binary compatible with Unix. Unix is to DOS, and Linux is to Windows. Outside of some homebrews, people have to run Linux in a VM on Mac.

That said, Windows blows chunks. Ubuntu and Mac OSX are he way to roll.

I'm not talking about binary compatibility but the structure and usage of the OS is pretty similar. So similar that you can compile many of the same programs on Linux and Mac pretty seamlessly (well on most Linuxes, other Linux-based systems like Android are trickier). That is a huge step towards true universal compatibility, you don't need to be 100% compatible but if the core structure of your system are similar then the modifications needed to make a program run between systems are minimal. For Windows it takes more time and resources since it is pretty different but can also be done of course not as long as Windows exclusive libraries like DirectX continue being the most popular. That's why MS losing strength in the gaming industry is a good thing. Maybe then we can achieve a support for true universal compatibility sooner than later. More freedom for the industry, more freedom for devs, more freedom for manufacturers.

Can't play on VR. That's a PS4 exclusive. Stay buttmad playing RE7 on a flat screen like it's 1995 lol!

Ah....so, that's why it looks like an indie PS2 garbage being sold for $60. PSVR ruined another game.

On, topic, Sorry, can't support. UWP is a cancer and needs to die.

You mean a PSVR exclusive. having a PS4 doesn't do you any good without the VR headset lol

I do think a game like RE7 could benefit greatly from VR but it's not enough to make me shell out 400 bucks for a pretty subpar VR experience. I was 50/50 on getting one and after trying it out at best buy it was an easy decision for me not to. It's a pretty poor VR experience since games are blurry and have PS2 level graphics

PSVR is a bit of a disappointment indeed. Yeah everything is in 3D but the blurriness hinders the experience quite a bit (I love 3D movies, 3DS etc). Personally it feels like not wearing glasses and it makes me feel a bit queasy, especially if I have to look to the distance, in tight places it's not THAT bad though and bright cartoony visuals help too.

Still I bought the thing and got RE7 pre-ordered too, if the experience is not worth it to me I might as well sell the thing while it's still worth something and buy something else. Oh I wish they made a better headset (would have needed a more powerful system too though) it's easy to use and adjust, only the visuals bother me.

yeah the headset itself is really lightweight and comfortable for sure, but the low screen resolution mixed with the lack of power from the PS4 really hinders the experience.

I had absolutely no interest in purchasing this game whatsoever, I find it to be a complete bastardization of the Resident Evil franchise as I did for 4, 5 & 6 as most of you are aware, but I am not one to pass up on exceptional value.

This right here has legitimately made me change my mind about buying it, giving it a chance, experiencing it simply predicated on the amount of value it presents. This is the benefit and incentive behind Play Anywhere, it is unrivaled value, you're getting $120 worth of games every time you purchase a game in the program, you can experience it multiple ways, on what system or platform you want.

I'm already tipping my hat to Microsoft for creating this program, but I also have to give it to Capcom on this, seeing third party embracing this is a very good sign.

If you think that's good, have I got a deal for you! Introducing asylumni's "Kick You in the Balls Anywhere*" program! For the low low price of $1000, I will go to where you are and kick you in the balls! Now, I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "I hate being kicked in the balls. Why would I possibly ask someone to do this, much less pay them $1000 to do it?" And here's why. As part of my "Kick You in the Balls Anywhere*" program, not only will I kick you in the balls with my left foot, but I will kick you in the balls with my right foot as well! That's $2000 worth of being kicked in the balls for only $1000! What a bargain!

*"Kick You in the Balls Anywhere" only available in the continental United States and Canada.

What the shit is this?

Strange, I thought it fairly straight-forward. What part confuses you? You are completely against RE7 until you find out you get two copies for the price of 1 and it becomes a day 1 buy. Not because the game changed or you're impression of the game changed, but solely to not "pass up on an exceptional value". So I proposed an even greater value saving you $1000! But you'd better act soon, appointments are filling fast!

You better jump on this. This deal is only available for 22 more days!

Seems to me he wants to touch your balls.

LMAO yup.

Whoa pause!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

But seriously if you wasn't interested in the game before or as you as, you had absolutely no interest in the game before this why all of a sudden you interested now LOL.

Will Xbox play anywhere add more new and exciting content to the game, NOPE. So what makes this more interesting now to buy?

Yeah, that is kinda dumb. The entire purpose of Play Anywhere it to allow you to play it on multiple devices. Not liking a game won't be resolved by making it available to more than one gaming machine, lol.

That's like the person that told Phil he was really looking forward to Quantum Break but now that it's going to PC as well as Xbox, he's not going to buy it LOL. Makes no sense.

If anyone has a VR headset, get the Steam version. Just because its officially exclusive to PSVR for a year doesn't mean someone won't make a VR mod for it sooner than later.

Mod won't work on UWP.

Nice. Probably won't take advantage of this until it's 20 dollars or less. Hope this happens more in the future with good multiplats.
