So I was reading here about the DS selling over 100 million, and noticed that there was some serious hate aginst the PSP, and people idolising the DS. I'm just interested to know whether it was just that loads of Nintendo fanboys decided to comment, or whether there is some serious love for the DS.

As always, these poll results have to be taken with caution, because it always depends on the number of fanboys on at any one time, but I'm interested to know what people on System Wars think anyway...

i prefer the ds. it's focused more on gaming. the psp is a fairly decent multimedia machine but it's big and clunky and ipods/iphones do music, video and internet better

PSP has more games that I actually like. The DS is just too JRPGish for me.

I don't like ninja gaiden and the problem with the DS is i only saw 1-3 worth buying games it's still a great handheld just wish it had more games that appeal to me.

it's massive when compared to its competitors. the ds lite and ipod are small, compact and even more portable because of this

Well, in fairness, the only type of people I ever see out and about playing DS's (other than possibly myself) are 10 year old (or around that age) girls and boys. The PSP on the other hand, I generally see older teenagers using, although sady its normally as an MP3/4 player as apposed to for its brilliant games. Despite what I said about the DS though, it does have some great games, but I'd say there's probably more games like 'My "lame thing here"' than there are games that actually interest me...

The games for the DS seem to be made for the system, while the psp games just seem like watered down spinoffs of PS2 games with crappy controls.

I'm constantly amazed at the depth and breadth of the DS' library. The PSP seems to have a decent selection, but it can't rival the DS, especially since it's confined to conventional control.

The consoles seem to cover two different sets of genres, though, which of course makes the PSP more attractive to some people.

I have to admit that one of the PSP's greatest flaws is it's poor controls when it comes to FPS and TPS...

I'll go with this.

I prefer the DS, but the PSP does have some fun games to play.

But, the DS has Megaman ZX/ZX Advent, so its library just suits me.

I used to play the DS a LOT because of the Advance Wars games but I haven't touched it since September, I think. Whereas I've been using the PSP a lot recently, moreso when R:R releases. So I'll say PSP.

I have to say Resistance Retribution does look fantastic, and with games like LBP, Motorstorm and Assasin's Creed all coming to PSP, it's going to be hard to keep me away from my PSP :) Despite this, I seriously hope, that if/when the PSP 2 is announced, it has 2 analog sticks - I feel that's the PSP's main problem...

The PSP doesn't have anything to match Advance Wars, Phantom Hourglass, Trauma Center, and Professor Layton IMO.

Yes, a big improvement this year in terms of games, just like Sony said. I've never found the analog stick to be much of a problem to be honest. They should still add one for the PSP2 and maybe make it a little more comfortable to hold.

Heh, PSP for me. I had a DS but just couldn't get into it. Ended up putting it in it's original case and giving it to my niece for a Bday gift so I wouldn't have to buy her anything (I'm cheap!).
