PS4 surveys users, potential online features added

Friends online notifications, synchronized messages and advanced matchmaking I really hope make it in there soon.

I know a ton of people have been asking for the ability to change their username but I'd never change mine so not personally worried about that.

Eh, the repuation and matchmaking would be quite cool. Not bothered about the rest, other than the notifications.

Sony, please work on the more requested features: MP3, video support, etc. etc.

@Spartan070: Yes. Interesting how most of those features are already available for XBL.

Reputation system seems like a waste of resources. It'll only get abused, like any other reputation system. I do however, welcome the change of username thing, I'm pretty sure a lot of people will be happy about that.

No reputation... Anyone can 1 star you just for being good just like in bf4 when ibwouos get kicked for going 40-5 and get booted before the match ended

When you're driven by the by gamers for gamers mantra, the GAMER comes FIRST. This proves that. We are ALL humbled SONY.

all of those feature would be nice, but none of them are all that necessary.

Also "advance matchmaking", that stuff never works. I play dozens and dozens of online multiplayer games where they get an update to improve matchmaking and it always gets worse then before.

When PSN hasn't been taking cues from XBL?

Can't you already cross platform chat between PS4 and Vita? I've never used the feature, but I could swear it was capable. This Guy even has a guide about it.

No, on the reputation system. It's abused all the time on XBL and anywhere else. I know too many times my reputation took a hit just for being better at someone in a videogame (XBL 2005- XBL current). Some people are just sore losers. I just had issues with this moron in Killer Instinct a few weeks ago on Xbone. I have no interest in a reputation system at all.

Yes, You can. I've done it. I got a Party chat invite while messing around with my Vita and I accepted it to discover the party was a PS4 BF4 bros going at it. We all laughed about it while I played Vita and they played PS4 BF4 while chatting with the Vita's built in microphone...eventually I caved in and played BF4 PS4 with them. Half the time they were sounding off BF4 tactics anyways. This happened last year, I believe after the PS4 launched or month or two after that with HYPE bros.

I also get text messages from Vita, PS3, and PS4 all the time between the three.

I can only speculate he's talking about DRM found in DD Wii, DD 360, and DD PS3 making it's way to DD Wii U, DD Xbone, and DD PS4. It's not the same DRM that would have been detrimental to many a gamer proposed with Xbone (always online DRM for all games, even SP games, no used games, etc).

Not a joke sir. Yoshida confirmed it on Twitter the other day. The Playstation TOS that was updated does include disc based games but Sony hasnt enforced it yet.

It's fucked up as is. Back a few years ago when I had a shitty connection, I'd get disconnected on occasion and that brought my rep down. I understand that players should be aware when someone has connection issues, but it shouldn't count against a players reputation--which suggests a player has done something dirty or disreputable.

You smoking from the crack pipe? all PSN and Xbox LIVE games do the same thing and always have. the no-DRM was regards to physical media.

I've been on XBL since the first Xbox console. I have only had two gamertags during that time. For someone who buys MS products you seem very critical of MS.

The system on XBL it takes more than one person reporting you to give you a bad rep. I think Sony would do something similar. It takes multiply people reporting on you to effect your rating.

No, it's a shot at general SW threads in general based on the last half dozen threads I've seen (some I click on and leave), which is why you don't recall the connection or loling at anyone in your TC. Mystery solved. :)

Although, you must admit his picture would fit just fine in it's own thread in SW, but it's pretty damning in this thread as well and deserved at least a quote.

I've been on XBL since the first Xbox console. I have only had two gamertags during that time. For someone who buys MS products you seem very critical of MS.

I don't agree with that assessment. I do think you are very critical of everything non-xbox and very, very supportive of everything pro-xbox based on previous encounters and posts, which means you would be very sensitive to only the Xbox related posts of mine and others, but to each their own. I think the company in general has some issues, and as a paying fan I have an opinion just as I do about the Wii U, PC, 3DS, PS4, and Vita.

When last we spoke, I lamented about Games for Gold not offering any games for my poor Xbone and I would like that fixed considering the money M$ rakes in. You posted something about retail games but at this point I'll take anything over nothing. Retail would be better of course.

You don't own an Xbone, right? You said your brother had one though. Shame, you should buy one soon and show your support. I have one I bought with money and I enjoy Killer Instinct and Titanfall on it, maybe one day we can play those. Sometimes people argue on SW but they don't have anything really invested in RL so their opinions are strong but they don't have the back-round to support those opinions. It's almost like a belief system and arguing against them. Having paid I notice the flaws and perks of these machines and I'll offer advice to users, talk games, or talk about my downsides on whatever the issue is. You usually only comment in threads regarding Xbox or threads trolling non-Xbox things, so perhaps you miss a lot of my posts when they aren't on your radar.

I attempt to answer you when you do post unless they don't make sense. Sometimes you bring up random things that don't have much to do with my post at all. I think English isn't your native tongue so something is often lost in translation. When last we spoke, you didn't comment again. The time before that encounter we ran into each other in a different thread. In the other encounter, you said we didn't agree and that we should agree to disagree which I understood. However, in only a few posts in that thread in a matter of minutes, in a surprise twist it turned out after doing some research you did agree with me after all (due to you finding out new things and reformulating your opinion) and everything was good. My point is that we really shouldn't be throwing rocks in a direction about users when we live in glass houses.

Shame you bounced around between gamertags. I have two gamertags as well, but I made them both early on for Xbox original and use both to this day, but my main one Gamertag being more useful since my hundreds of XBLA games are tied to that tag. I too have been around since the original Xbox playing games like Mech Assault, Phantom Dust, Rainbow Six, Splinter Cell 2, and Halo 2. Good times. Nice chat.
