You definitely lose exclusives, but you gain a powerful entry in a new era of gaming graphics. Plus, overall, PC is a power gaming platform, it's not like you'll end up in a bad place with no good games when you switch.

For me to trade 7 years of exclusives (meaning I would never have been able to experience top PS4 or Switch games) for RTX ON and 60+ fps -- nope, not worth it. I don't even have to think about it more than two seconds.

No. Not even just for the exclusives but I also prefer to get my games on a physical format plus I simply prefer consoles because they are more convenient for me. I’m just not interested in gaming on PC at this point in time.

To answer the question. No. But I would build a PC to do all that to compliment my consoles. If I was a dedicated enough to build one.

Probably PC, solely for the better performing multiplats, but that's a very close call.

@whatafailure: That's all a matter of opinion. For me, first person shooters are a big fave, and sorry, but the PC has way more first person shooters. Hell Let Loose, Squad, Ring of Elysium, Skorn(when it eventually comes out), Hunt: Showdown, Insurgency Sandstorm, etc.

None of these are on console, so yeah.

I felt the same, can't wait to see how other old school games would look like with ray tracing. Let alone newer, slightly less old school games, like Mass Effect 1, Mirror's edge, etc..

The advantage of PC gaming is old games gets better with time via new mods and shaders.

I chose "I own all consoles and a 2080 ti PC" even though I sold my Switch. I rarely used it and there were no good exclusives on the horizon. I still have my PS4 PRO which I play NHL and PS exclusives on. My X1 just collects dust as I play the MS games on PC.

@Mystery_Writer: 3440x1440/120hz Ultra is a better use of a 2080 Ti than current ray tracing offerings. I am not going to take a massive hit on performance to enable partial ray tracing. It is not worth it IMO. Maybe when future RTX generations have a lot more RT cores it will be worth it, but it just isn't there yet.

What you're doing is the same idiotic, fanboy trolling that has prevailed in places like this for decades now: pushing your style of gaming on different types of gamers. It's like trying to sell sweets to spice foodies.

Would be an interesting decision to make. I already have the 2 consoles and a 1080ti tho so I'd keep the consoles personally. If my GPU was an older/weaker card I'd go with the 2080ti.

Why would I want to play slightly better looking console ports? I don’t like indie games or dating sims either. Most popular PC games also have insanely low requirements and 2004 graphics.

I used to P.C. game. I prefer the simplicity of consoles. Turn it on and play.

What's the point in all that power if you lose access to entire libraries? I game on PC and consoles. I don't need ray tracing that much to give up entire game libraries. Each system has its strengths and weaknesses, but they should all be experienced if it makes sense for your budget.

Moving the mouse has giphy show other gifs? Not sure why they went with that, but hey, still works, and I'd rather use giphy than fill my GS account with what I find.

I'm not impressed by raytracing in its current form. I'm more interested in modding, higher res, and better framerates that PC offers. To me the 2080ti is a scam. I'd sell it and pocket the money to use on buying a PS5 and upgrading my PC when Nvidia is forced to lower their price in the future with better and more value for money cards.
