What does the Xbox One version of the Project Spark beta bring to the program?

The Xbox One version of Project Spark adds Performance Capture support with Kinect. Record your own animations and voice Make your custom moves, record voice over and customize your creations before you share them with the community across Xbox One and Windows 8. The Xbox One version also allows players to play their creations on their big screen at home. You can easily save your creation to the cloud and seamlessly play or create on either Windows 8 or Xbox One. Additionally, Project Spark automatically translates standard controls from Windows 8 mouse and keyboard to Xbox One controller and vice versa.

i guess it's time for MS/XB1 to show Lil Big Planet how its done. all in all, the game/ip seems like a great tool for creators. hopefully some of you all post what you make on here. and just give us all your take on it.

i never really had a problem with Lil Big Planet last gen. i liked the idea of it and wanted to see what people could make or come up with. i just thought the ip was lacking though. but i always liked the idea of the it. Project Spark seems to have a lot more too it...and seems to have a lot more potential in it to make something really great.

LBP was a wannabe platformer first and foremost with limited user creator options. Project Spark is straight up a user creation game that could create any genre of games without limitations.

@Heil68 anyway, here is another, longer, video. about an hour and twenty four minutes of them demoing and playing some games PC users already made. they start trying out the actual games made about halfway through it. someone actually made an rpg on the thing. this video probably won't sell anyone on it, its such an early build. but at least you get an idea of how deep you/people can go with the gameplay/creating.

So after I went through the trouble of installing it and watching the intro video it said I won't get the beta key for another 4 days.

I'm rather interested in seeing what Kinect can do with motion capture. this is the opportune moment to show how it's more than just a webcam.

I never expect much with MS, but this title deserves a shot.

@MlauTheDaft Yes, that feature might be really interesting. Do you know if you can record voices for characters? That combined with DYI motion capture would seem to be like the best thing ever and unlocks the inner directorial visionary in me!

Yes, you can record voices - though perhaps not until retail. And Mo-cap would be a natural fit, but I don't think there's any talk of that feature for now.

I want to make a kung fu epic story of revenge.
