Ok I might have been a bit hypocritical I like some pokemons (the fossiles and the legendary ones mainly). And the mechanics of X and Y are amazing, yet it doesn't take off the fact that some pokemons are now ice-creams and bolts.

When I was reading that comment above about when a Direct would show, I loled.

As for the news... I'll remain skeptical. Would be cool though, and probably won't move nearly as many systems as people think it would.

I kinda agree with this. Game mechanics aside, the more the generations progress, the weirder(not in a good way) the pokemon appear(ofcourse some of them are cool, I won't disagree).

On topic, that sounds amazing. I won't buy a Wii U either way but I'd love this to be true nonetheless.

It needs to be MMO like for me to get crazy excited. PvP and PvE Pokemon would be nuts.

But it's also not on a handheld, so it might not be real because of that. It removes the Pocket from Pocket Monsters.

Same here. Hahahaha. Literally yesterday, I was telling my roommate that if Nintendo puts outs full blown Pokemon game on the WiiU, complete with a fully 3D world and battles (preferably with a more real-time elements in both exploration and battle), I'd buy a WiiU. If GameFreak does this right, a Wii U might be the first console I buy since the Ps2.

Notice how these leaks are always released after a Nintendo Direct is announced, never before. Also notice that it's Charizard posting all this bullshit then bitching about it when it doesn't happen.

The Wii U would be the perfect console to do it, what with the gamepad controller and all.

But I highly doubt this is true. Didn't they say they were just focusing on games releasing in the spring?

Weren't Gamefreak adamant they would never make a console version of the game?

If they bring Level 5 to co-develop the game and gives it the Ni No Kuni aesthetic and exploration treatment then it would be a huge hit.

I'm not sure I get why you would take the model from handhelds (two versions of the same game with slight variations in Pokemon offerings) and make console versions. I can see it working just fine - but is it meant solely to be more of the same?

Also notice that the guy who started the rumour tweeted this back in January

doubt this would happen. the pokemon fighter game is most likely to happen though.

If this is all legit, its clearly a game in development for the rumoured 'fusion' as it talks about 'terminal unit'.

It doesn't mention Wii U anywhere.

The problem is that in releasing for the Wii U, the game probably wouldn't sell as much as it would for 3DS. To me this news would be a sign of Nintendo getting desperate if its true, and I cant see millions of people buying the Wii U for one game. Nintendo would be better off leaving Pokémon as a handheld game.

That's interesting, I'd love to see a pokemon on Wii U and please no some kind of stadium game but a proper pokemon game.

Pokemon Colloseum was a glorified Pokemon Stadium game, and not a real console Pokemon RPG

Of course not. Nothing will get the WIi U out of last place this gen.

But if the rumor is true, it might ensure that the Wii U at least does better than Dreamcast/Gamecube numbers, which is currently the level it is trending at.
