What if it's a game years and years ago like System Shock and you can't find it other than buying it used? In that case, the money doesn't go to the developers, the used game owner is like a middleman in the transaction of the game, a middle man that the devs and publishers did NOT sign a contract with to distribute their games for monetary gains. Copyright is very murky.

And the most ironic part? PC gaming is always talked about as a "piracy" haven, but isn't the "used" console gaming market at Gamestop or Ebagames just the same? A seperate corporation is earning monetary gains off of console games and no one makes a fuss. Rather disturbing when you think about it.
