Blizzard will now compete for domination of competitive FPS too.
I expect this AAA shooter to become dominant in E-sports and have a higher skill cap than any console title, like a majority of competitive PC games.

TF2 has been the best game of all time for quite a while now. It's about time a game arises worthy to take the throne.
Nothing really special in that vid.
We can't all compete with MCC and Killzone..
oh wait,
Those games aren't special either, so nice try. You are a strange kid. You don't game on PC, yet you act like a hermit.
playing fps on pc is as appealing as filling out a spreadsheet.
point and click.
bleh.
the only way to make it any easier would be to play on touch screen so you can just put your finger on a target and have it fall over.
Overwatch looks like the kind of game I can dump hundreds of hours into and still not get bored. I can't remember the last time I've been so hyped for a FPS
Knowing Blizzard they'll find a way to monetize the shit out of Overwatch. $15 to unlock heroes is practically a given. No thanks, even if the game looks really fun.
Bleh, doesn't look like anything special.
At least its not another halo, killzone, military shooter trash.
It'll probably score higher than those as well.
yea.. its typical PC 1,000,000nth FPS trash.
Lmao this is probably one of the freshest takes on shooters in a long time.
go play halo.
I like pc shooters, generally more than consoles, but imo the controller itself creates a higher skill level to start with. Aiming with two analog sticks is more difficult than with a mouse.

Higher skill floor but not a higher skill ceiling.

I disagree, I think. What does that even mean? The games are structured differently...........................................................................though to be fair I stopped with console fps with the COD craze. Havent jumped online since Halo Reach. So perhaps I am wrong, but the very nature of movement requires more dexterity on console.
It's rare for me to get excited for multiplayer games but Unreal Tournament and Overwatch are one of my most anticipated games. Too bad both of them will be "trash"... until console version is announced, then both of them will be awesome.

I'm not sure how that stuff works. Coming off pc I've turned off any kind of aim assist as far as I can remember. Even in Goldeneye....

Skill floor = how easy it is to get into
skill ceiling = potential for skill to develop
Poking at my keyboard with chopsticks doesn't make me a more skilled competitor than someone who is playing the game properly. Shooters constrained to a controller will never allow players to have the maximum maneuverability and responsiveness that a keyboard and mouse does and it shows in the gameplay.
