Assassin's Creed is one of those games that I let slip through the cracks and I want to play it before the second game comes out.

I have all three consoles and a PC capable of playing Crysis at high settings. I'm about to pick up a copy of the game and I would like to know your opinions: PS3, 360, or PC?

Looks better on the PC but took me a while to set it up when it first came out. I'm sure its been patched by now though. Also if you get the PC version set aside a good half hour before you finish your gaming session, quitting the game is a challenge in its self ;)

If you want my opinion I'd say don't buy it at all. The game itself is garbage and the story is the only good part and if you play it, you'll get hooked and wind up like me having to buy the second one despite knowing deep down it'll be the same repetitive dribble with to many flags.

Yeah that'd be it. Fond memories of Duke Nukem 1.

My PC is powerful enough... it's only been a couple months since my last big upgrade. Video card is probably fringe these days 8800GTS, but it should do the trick, and I can just use the 360 controller. I expected more console recommendations but it seems rather overwhelming. Looks like I'll be picking it up for PC. Thanks

None of course. The first one was pretty bad and I don't really expect much from Part II. After the first level or so.. you already did nearly everything you could possibly do in Assassin's Creed.

For a platformer, I agree, which is why I'll be using the 360 controller.

you can use the 360 on pc. as the op said so that's no big deal. i have the 360 version, but for the graphical upgrade you get on pc and maybe mods, you might as well get it on that

As long as you play it with a controller its fine. Also there are achievements on the 360 version if you're into those, no trophies for the PS3 one.

I can't tell you what system to get it for because I wouldn't get the game. It sucks. It was one of the games stolen when my PS3 was stolen. I beat that game and wow what a super over hyped game. It was super alright. Super repetitive and had a super crappy ending. When I get to replace my PS3, Assassin's Creed will be one of the games that I will not be replacing. I also have 0 interest in Assassin's Creed 2. As bad as Assassin's Creed was and now with so many now knowing that, I really don't see Assassin's Creed 2 selling all that well. I could be wrong, but that's how I see it doing in sales.

Yeah I'm not expecting to be blown away by a GOTY or anything, but I watched my friend play it for a decent amount of time and it looked like something I could get into. Over-hyped, sure, but the general consensus I get is that it's worth playing.

The PC version is the best, especially now that it's been patched. I purchased it for $9 during a Steam sale, well worth the price.

360. No installation, Achievements, better graphics than PS3. The choice is clear.

And ignore those who say not to buy it. AC is a fine game. It gets a little monotonous down the stretch, but it's got lots of good ideas that are implemented really well, and when all is said and done, it's not a disappointing game at all. If you can find it for $20-$30, it's well worth the cash.

To those saying "The obvious choice" is the 360 or PS3 due to Graphics or controler.

I remind you that OP has everything.

I agree the PS3's controler feels better suited to the game, but he can get the game for pc and map it to use the PS3's controler as a gamepad while getting better graphics.

My vote still stays with PC.

If you have a PC that can play Crysis on high, then the choice is obvious. As for me, I'm getting the PS3 version.

It's propably cheaper on PC, looks better, has more missions I think, and it plays very well on KB/M and has full support for 360 pad ..so I think it's the obvious choice. However renting it for a console might not be a bad choice, you'll prolly get bored of it after 1 hour anyway.

PC with a 360/PS3 controler = win. 360 has official drivers and games support it so thats the prefferable choice.

Not to mention the PC controls for Assassins Creed are VERY easy, controllers are not better for action/hack n slash, its all a load of crap.
