If you post about just Gears in this thread, i.e no viable valid comparison with Resistance. (e.g haha Gears is AAA) you will get suspended for trolling and ignoring the Gears sticky.

Not excited, probably because of the lack of a PS3 in my life.

I doubt it.

Both games are just like the older ones. With added Co-op modes, and more playes online.

They should score the same as they did before.

it looks pretty bad ass games, but recent GS reviews are a lot harsher :?

Gamespot is Harsh. It's always a safe bet to lower your expectations by .5

Many reviews are glowing, but the score never seems to reflect that.

They should score the same as they did before.

I understood why gamespot gave the previous game the score it did, but this game went above and beyond the call of duty for a sequel. I've been playing the Beta recently and I can honestly say that the multiplayer component itself is worth the $60 price tag. Gears2 has also improved, but not nearly as much as Resistance2 has. I personally think that both games are gonna get 9.0

Still I think that Little Big Planet is the PS3 game to get this year, and possibly GOTY.

• 15 + hour campaign - ability to play cooperative throughout online or off - real players can jump in anytime as chimeran to give you a rough time online , you kill them ..... and they'll just spawn a little farther down the line in the story.
• Existing class-based co-op mode
• Hale's perspective + narrator to add to the overall story + intel finds/voice logs
• Vehicles in campaign , and vehicles for a few larger multiplayer maps
• level maker/editor
• non-linear game
• better explosion effects , textures/lighting , DOF/motion blur
• brutal melee executions , blood all over the screen - rawr!
• more immersive - enemies fire at your squadmates , no hud , no gamey visual cues to tell you where to go and what to do all the time
• stasis and strategic dismemberment
• dual weilding of big firearms
• alternate 10 hour Chimeran campaign to destroy cities , armed forces , and civilians - locations - Seattle in the rain , disney world , San Diego , bonus objective - San Diego Zoo to capture animals - Chimeran vs. lions , tigers , and bears , oh my , Las Vegas , Dallas/Houston area - Washington D.C. , New York City

How about we just keep our expectations in check? Sheesh, the game is already jam packed with content and you aren't satisfied? Wasn't Halo 3 8-10 hours or so? Hmm, by that logic it should be AA.:roll:
