I am on the opposite side, since i do not like shooters, LBP like games, or MGS4 at all, Resistance 2 is the only game i will buy for PS3

On 360 i plan to buy 22 exclusive (or console exclusive) games, and another 20 multiplatforms, on 360 too

So, 1 game for PS3, 42 games for my 360

I said i will buy it, not that will be my most wanted game, and i will buy because of the graphics/setting and monsters, i just have to see those, but not for the shooting

This is probably old, but in a thread of 21+ pages, bothering to search is practically pointless.

there are obviously 42 amazing next gen games on the 360 while the ps3 has 0 next gen games with 1000x times better graphics.

Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. What 360 games are you planning to buy saolin since the only ones on my list right now is Alan Wake and maybe Fable and GeoW2 if they come out. My PS3 exclusive list is maybe dbl that. It looks like I need someone to recommend more 360 games this year.

I'm looking forward to GTA, which with the content will most likely be best on the 360. Hey, i mean, whatever though, MGS4 is more or less the trump card atm imo.

Hey I knew a long time ago that LO would not be reviewed highly. I hyped it A and even then I said it might fall lower. Gamespot threw the book at Blue Dragon and that is exactly the kind of JRPG I enjoy. An old school JRPG. I can't say for sure if the LO story is good or bad or how horrible it is to do turnbased battles until I play it but I can say that I am very excited about it and there is nothing remotely similar to it on the PS3 now or in the near future.

Basically I don't have a problem with things like loading times, too many cutscenes, or too many turn based battles because I don't play games like this day in and day out. I play them every once in awhile. I don't care that it doesn't reinvent the wheel. The last JRPG I played all the way through was DQVIII (98% anyway) and that may as well have been made 20 years ago.

So...yeah.

yeeeea PS3. I think this'll be the year that the PS3 will finally catch up with the 360 and Wii.EatBoxSocks666

Nintendo Wii is the#1 selling console of all time. Just look at christmas time. The sales rocketed that much that Nintendo faced a worldwide stock shortage until the start of February. The Ps3 however, with it's ridiculous price and lack of attractive features (for lack of better terminology) was pretty much a flop in the sales numbers... So I don't think a catch up is in order anytime soon...

The 360 line-up does have a few promising games, but those that say the 360 line-up is better need abit of a reality check.

I laugh when I see this. It's such a "niche" title that MS has been courting/begging for Konami to release it on X360 for a couple years now. X360 owners will say the title doesn't matter until another rumor surfaces saying it's coming to X360 lol.

Please explain why MS has been doing everything possible (aside from buying Konami itself) to aquire MGS4 on it's console if it's a niche game.

Actually the 08 lineup for 360 is so VASTLY better, more varied and with so much more spectacular HUGE games IMO, like Fable 2 and Alan Wake, that make PS3 mostly shooter lineup look like one of the most mediocre ever in gaming

I need some games worth playing on my 360 this year, chances are they'll be shootan games again. I might eventually buy LO simply because I need a JRPG worth playing. I'd consider it more if it wasn't for people who simply LOVED Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata recommending it. Both pretty bad games in my own opinion.

Gears 2?? Maybe... If they fix the online play. Can't be that hard now can it, Epic?

We have pretty much no gameplay video of Alan Wake and even less definate info on the game. I get it, you like Fable so I am not even gonna bother commenting on that game. As for the PS3's 08 lineup

I will be enjoying Tekken 6, MGS4, Resistance 2, KZ 2, WKS, LBP, GT, etc.. The list for the 360 has NG2 as you said is its "big Hitter" yet the first one sold poorly on the Xbox platform. I am sure the second will do better but MS fans exaggerate the fanbase NG has. Aside from the few that post on this forum, most MS fans ignored NG and may do so again this gen. I can understand how you may have a different preference by to deny the quality of the PS3s 08 line up when the vast majority of the gaming community, sites and magazines are calling 08 Sonys year because of its software is laughable.

But Too Human has so far been a mess. Its previews had a poor reception and then Silicone Knights had problems with the Unreal Engine. Not to mention Too Human was supposed to launch on the PS1. All and all it has a cool concept and the only 360 game that sparks my interest.

As for your Culdcept, I never heard of it but when I looked up its scores on IGN, I can kind of see why. It didnt get very good scores. You may not like MGS but it is a quality game.
