Oddworld Devs: "PS4 incredibly exciting. No communication with MS"

Stewart Gilray:  Now we are working on PS4 and are incredibly excited by that prospect for the future. Weve had no communication at all with Microsoft on their new system, so I really cant comment on that at all. But PS4 seems like a fantastic system, weve had kits for a while, and it is as people say, incredibly easy to develop for, as it is a lot closer to a PC system than ever before. Some of the ideas Sony have for the way it all works are truly inspiring and we are happy to be working with them again.

Ugh..... they cant talk about NextBox yet until M$ show the kinectbox.

i remember when oddworld was on top of the world.

then, they made a deal to go from ps to xbox, and that move almost killed the company. i loved odd strangers tho for my xbox.

now, they want to come to ps again? i thought they make movies or something, nice to see them return to games.

Me want new Oddworld. Me want new Oddworld that isn't just a re-release or HD "remake". Me want new oldschool style 2D Oddworld that doesn't dumb things down for the modern generation.

Havent heard about them for a few time, anyway, but both Oddworld games on PS1 were awesome.

Let's see if Sony talk works out for them next gen like it did this gen.

Wow Lems need to sit down and have a Kit-Kat, this just keeps getting worse.

More Oddworld is always good, don't care what platform its on.

But the topic title is very misleading.

from the sounds of it.... MS hasn't been keeping in touch with smaller developers. PSN is going to have a sh*tload of exclusives. drakekratos

Strangers Wrath

This is a factual list of best to worst Oddworld games. Though I'll be honest about Strangers Wrath. That could go absolutely anywhere on a list depending on taste. It's nothing like the previous Oddworld games. No puzzle elements whatsoever. It's just a really good, unique FPS with some third person elements in there as well. I thoroughly enjoyed it, but I put it at the bottom of my list because I preferred the puzzle focus of the previous games. Awesome game though. And funny. Jo Momma aint gonna last long with me on her tail!

That would be great news, GEOW is one of the best series available on Consoles this gen (or should I say last gen :P )

Please give us another oddworld game more in line with the abe series.

mines has never broke a disk, barely moved and various other things, not to mention your other topic is so over exaggerated that people are laughing rather than agree, because lets be honest nobodys dumb enough to buy 11 360's when they brick and if you did well...my hope for humanity has just flatlined.

You want them to say... yes we have communication with M$ about their next gen stuff? They cant do that. Before Feb 20 if you asked the people on stage about PS4 they would tell you they dont know ANYTHING.

I'm going to be brutially honest, I have a slight bias to the 360. The reasons being a lot of my friends game on it and we share similar gaming interests. I brought one before the ps3 came out (and the fact I couldn't afford a $600 console at the time).

That being said, Microsoft better blow my mind... I'll say it here and I've told friends this, I like what Sony is doing with the PS4 right now. If the price is right, I will swing that way in a heartbeat if MS blows it. I feel like the two companies role reversed this generation.
