But seriously I think there are far more popular times and places they could go to and for whatever reason they aren't. The French revolution, to be honest, didn't interest me much and victorian England quite possibly even less. In my opinion the setting in Black Flag was a great one.

Playing the AC games for the story is pretty much a no go, I hated Desmond and his segments in the AC games. The story for the series is just mediocre at best and that's saying it lightly, hell I'd rank AC1 ending to be one of the worst endings ever.

Honestly who want even play a new AC game, we got 2 of them this year. This series getting very old and repetitive and when they are buggy/glitchy, force you to use mobile/ipad appz to loot things it doesnt make it any better...
I want American Civil War setting, but oh well, I'll buy this game eventually. I can't say no to an AC game even if it is riddled with tech issues. Damn me.
So totally bored of AC at this point I don't care where's it's set or which accents the cast have it's just soooooo milked to death they could set it on Mars and I wouldn't touch it. Hmm... no wait... Mars could be good.
If you want to even be able to finish the story at all, or find many of the game's secrets, you need to hook up to the new companion app. Oh you don't have a mobile device? Tough luck.
And on launch day, the game's servers will be broken. And there will be loads of bugs and glitches. And the E3 build we show off will be downgraded. And PC version will be a disaster. And we will launch with $200 of DLC, most cut from the game. And we will call PC gamers pirates. And will blame console specs will our failures.
Well..well..well, Ubisoft is already in process of making the next Ass Creed game. Definitely heading towards an annual release of mediocrity, bug ridden glitches. Expect disappointment again ya'll
