Pretty pointless to argue about the graphics at this state.. It's an alpha beta (they say), so I'm sure it'll look better than this. There are games out for the 360 right now that looks better than this, so why the hell wouldn't they make the best graphics possible for their biggest game?
i really dont think most people would have a problem with the graphics if Gears didnt set that bar on 360 games that high...... most 360 owners are praying for the games looking better than that. Personally IMO it looks good but it still looks like more of the same. they gonna have to do more than the halo 2 thing to get me excited again
Wow those do not look good at all. I hope they plan to add more environment detail, bump mapping, and better textures because that does not look any better than Halo2 at 720p with a new lighting engine.
Looks like Halo 2 with better lighting, but since it's a beta or alpha or whatever (does it make a difference), it'll probably (hopefully) look a lot better when it releases.

Ahhh I see. That still is kind of dissapointing though. No doubt the game will look better than what it's at right now at release, but not as much as a lot of people have been hoping. If you say Halo 3's graphics will look better DRASTICALLY better at release, then you must say that Crysis's graphics will look DRASTICALLY better at release, considering it's still in pre-alpha....
I like how the author said it looked like Crysis:lol::lol: Can anyone confirm if any of these leaked photos are from the SP? Because I'm starting to think its going to pull a GRAW/Vegas thing where the MP looks a little worse than the SP. I hope anyways...for people crying its alpha, Crysis is in alpha as well...

He said some of the environments reminded him of some of the Crysis environments, not graphically....

although it's still awesome to see anything regarding Halo 3, these screens aren't impressive at all. I'm sure it will be better, but people can't say "it looks awesome for an Alpha" when it really doesn't. If it was another game for the ps3, fanboys would rip it apart.....but still, looks really fun.
