Myth about more black ops players on 360

i was on black ops on my ps3 yesterday(most of my friends have ps3s), and there was about 480-500k people on, then i went on my 360 version about an hour later and there was about 390k peopel on. why do people insist theres wayyyy more players on the 360 version? if anything they are around the same and in yesterdays case there were more on the ps3 version.

Normal range for Xbox is usually 900k-1 million. I'm not sure on PS3, as I don't play PS3. But I know that's the normal range for Xbox. It's gone down a bit recently, used to range somewhat higher.

Also it's more of a fact, not a myth. More copies sold=more players, therefore 360 does indeed have more players than PS3.

The total sales of Black Ops on the PS3 and 360 versions is very narrow. Last I saw only like 886,000 on PS3 and 964,000 on 360. And Need for Speed Hot Pursuit has sold way more on the PS3.

meh it will all come down to PC having more players soon as always. Its just hype, most console gamers will move onto the next hyped and newest fps game in the coming months.

and to vinegar strokes, i dont remember the EXACT numbers i didnt jot it down, but the ps3 version had in the high 400ks and the 360 version had it in the high 300ks. whats with all the hostility? does it hurt to hear this?

Who cares, but you can't really compare the numbers at one point in a day and declare that version has the most individual players for that day. how do you not know 10 mins later the 360 had 360,000 completely different players on so in that stretch of time it would have had 700,000+ unique GTs on. I would suggest both games are near enough equal on each system anyway.

Most of the time that I played I have always seen way more players on X360 version than on Ps3. I don't think it's equal at all. On the PS3 i see around 250,000 to 300,000 or so on average, while on X360 I see around 800,000 to 950,000 on average. This is mostly from playing during the day.

no. ps3 version of black ops never had 285 million gamers on it. yes thats about the highest number i've seen of the xbox version. now, i usually see about 850,000 people daily. and due to who lives in my house, i also have the ps3 version. Its numbers don't come close. Still a lot more than the wii version though.antifanboyftw
