I'm calling it a 7/10.

@davillain-: Why do some people keep mentioning that wannabe reviewer? He's just a Youtube cry baby, that makes money at yelling is pointless opinion.
Looks like konclusions were jumped to regarding the patch decreasing payouts.
Yet another reason to just ignore gamers on the internet all together. People are so quick to cry foul in this hobby it's insane. Not to mention everytime a game scores well it's a "payoff" but when a game scores low it's "clickbait."
Those 6 pages of pure bitching for what turned out to be nothing made me ashamed to be a member of NeoGaf. Too bad I can't come back to SystemWars to make myself feel better.......
@Lulu_Lulu: @Lulu_Lulu:
It's an internet forum frequently visited by members of the industry.
I've also tested it and the issue and it stemmed from from the fact that you don't get the same number of koins for doing a fight the second time, which is where the decrease was noticed, but you want to keep on being ignorant on the matter then be my guest.
@Xaero_Gravity:
What is GAF anyway...... I hear a bunch of people bringing it up now and then but no clue what it is....... not that it matters..... I wouldn't trust them anymore than I trust This site.
GAF? Might be this those guys posting in NeoGAF?
About 2 hours played before I had to go to work, during that time it's easily a 9.5 in my book (cause Frak the GS scoring system). The question is if you love MK and loved MK9, you'll love MK10.
I'm calling it a 7/10.

For one thing, he shows video clips on what's wrong with the game to back up his claim, he's an honest reviewer, sure he bitches pointless stuff but he get's the job done. He's most of the times, my last stop reviewer before I buy a game.
@Lulu_Lulu:
Oh trust me, you're considered by many to be the most ignorant person on SW, which is one hell of an accomplishment. Personally, and this is going to come off as extremely coarse and blunt, I just think you're a fucking moron. Not quite sure why I even wasted my time.
Got the game last Saturday and I love it.. I've always been a huge MK fan so am biased, but MKX is a great fighting game..
My personal Score is a solid 9/10
I got the chance to play MKX at my co-workers house [PS4] and this is what I think.
Not going to lie. I'm disappointed with it. I just feels slow and unpolished. Spent about an hour with it and had no problem putting the controller down. That doesn't happen with me and MK. It really feels half assed. Like in the options for moves where it says fatalities, it says oh, just hold R2 and press square. Boom. Fatality. Like they aren't even trying. And then from there it still has the button presses in cases you want to do it the old way and one of them was still in question marks even though I had immediate access to it the through the easy way. What? Just make it the old way. Don't make it easy for all the noobs. Idk. I could go on and on but I'm pretty dissapointed. That said, I'll wait for Komplete edition on a Black Friday sale, like I did for MK9 Komplete edition on Black Friday.
I'm actually pretty surprised somebody hasn't attempted making a fighting game that costs $0.25 every time you want to play and $0.25 every time you want to continue. Arcades were the original microtransaction model, and somebody attempting to bring that experience to the living room would be interesting.
Steam users report a really bad PC port.
It's just Steam's first attempt at installing the game, while giving you the option to play simple modes. That didn't go so well. I haven't heard complaints about the game itself. The way it runs or anything.
@davillain-:
Only if they are the only or easiest option of unlocking the game's content.......
Anyway what about the actual combat ?
The Combat is like Deadly Alliance in someways. I don't like the variations causing reductions to special moves. They tried this before with Deadly Alliance and it made longer combos annoying because you had to switch styles specifically to make certain chain combos actually work. I haven't play Deadly Alliance in years since High School.
I really wish they would take a page from Tekken's book and have better animation. That's the only thing that irks me about the game.
I beat story mode and I have to admit mk9 did it much better. On a gameplay stand point the characters seem to have more weight then mk9 and the game feels better for it.
So I got a chance to play some online today and **** that garbage soooo much lag and input lag it's awful, you can barley ever hit a neutral jump punch forget trying to jump in and punch or jump over someone's head and punch them to open them up. So it's either a NR problem or every single person I played had garbage Internet connection def needs somes fixin
So to those who have this game already:
If I'm not a fighting game person....but I'm somewhat interested in it....should I get it.
Is it easy to get into?
Is the story worth it if I haven't played a MK since MK3?
Do you think this is the/a fighting game that will appeal to someone who hasn't really given fighting games a chance in a long time?

I don't have the game, but if you aren't a fighting game person, I wouldn't pay full price for any fighting game. You can get MK9 dirt cheap now and play through the story. If you enjoy that, I'd give MKX a shot. A fighting game is worth it if you enjoy it enough to take the time to really learn the characters inside and out, play online, and get competitive. If you are only interested in the single player, wait for a sale, because you won't find $60 worth of content.
@mr_huggles_dog:
Well.... do you have somebody you can play against offline ? If so then thats all you need..... MK isn't the most thumb mashing intensive game but it isn't the simplest either..... the specials are easy enough to perform but combos require alil bit more commitment......
I think I'm going to wait.
I'll just pick it up used in a couple of months for like $40....by that time I should have some Gamestop points to soften the blow of buying a game that I only want to get to see the crazy/outrageous gore.
I bought it against my better judgement. Not too impressed with it so far.
They Krypt is super fun though. Plays like a very watered down grimrock.
I spent most of my playtime in it instead of doing some vs matches.
I'll probably delve deeper into the fighting mechanics tomorrow.
