More Super Mario 3D World Screens (GORGEOUS)

I hope nintendo keeps putting out because they need to prove themselves for being too lazy in their success with the wii. If they keep it up I'll be more than happy to add a wii U to my game collection this gen and I will have all my gaming needs covered.

And is all this confirmed at 60fps and 1080p?

Everything looks like plastic to me, although the graphics are good.

@PhazonBlazer: I thought the same thing, but looking through it all, it's only the first image (first impressions last, eh). And I think it's because it's raining in the level?

Also, is this the first time it's raining in a Mario platformer game? I don't recall this every happening

I believe the plastic-look is meant to be the rain that has soaked Mario's clothes up. You can see Water effects against the screen.

I think it looks amazing and I am definitely getting this game. Aside from a Ps4, this and Zelda Link Between Worlds are the only games for the remainder of 2013 that I'm interested in. I already picked up gtav, Pokemon Y, Dragon's Crown and Wind Waker HD.

The more I see, the more interested I get. I might just end up buying a Wii U sooner than I expected.

The game looks amazing. The Wii U is going to finally have a decent library soon. Now they just need to sell a cheaper SKU without the tablet and I'm sold. They're selling a 2DS now, so I don't understand why dropping the tablet gimmick would be all that different...

I remember staying up for two days straight playing Mario 64, this looks like one of those games I have to play and play and play - gorgeous, indeed.

Well, I was gonna buy a Ps4 at first, but then I realized that it had little to offer on launch. So I went with the WiiU that was a 100euros cheaper, and was bundled with a game. Wind Waker bundle.

Also got Lego City: Undercover and ZombiU. Mario 3D World is coming at the end of this month, and I still need to get W101 and Pikmin 3. And like you said, the goodness that is called Bayonetta 2 and X.

Cool stuff going on with the WiiU now.

Games looks bad from a visual standpoint. Especially, those screens with mario covered in baby oil/rain. I'm sure it'll be a great game to play like 3d land, but I'm not seeing anything remotely inspiring or impressive in these screens. Unless people think catsuit mario or princess peach in a giant shoe are somehow imaginative...

They made the tablet a requirement for the console. Something as simple as accessing the system settings menu to alter video, Internet, and power settings can literally only be done on the tablet. It's a questionable design choice, but it is what it is.

Despite its shitty and uninspired visuals, I think it'll be great game just like 3d land. My only wish is that Nintendo would start putting some effort into creating a beautiful world that I want to jump around in like Ubi has done with the recent Rayman titles. I equate recent Mario titles(NSMB series specifically) to the Toyata Camry. Good ol' reliable car but there's something bland and unexciting about the whole package. By no means am I calling this mario game bad. Just a bit disappointing after we received Galaxy a year after wii's launch.
