MGS5 - What are your expectations and hopes ?

1. Eva's appearence. It would be weird for her to just be on MGS3 & 4 and that's it.
2. A better updated MGO. I honestly wish it was a seperate title 
3. Co-Op or online Co-Op modes. PeaceWalker's multiplayer was very successful
4. Over 20 hours of gameplay due to the expectations of both Ground Zeroes, Phantom Pain, and Side quest

There is a ton more things I would like to expect. I just hope that this prequel leads on to a official Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake.

My only hope is that David Hayter is Snake.

Some awesome gameplay ideas with the right brand of Kojima/MGS crazy with a side serving of the lame, offensively stupid, and the more pretentious brand of Kojima/MGS crazy. Probably with a poor balance of cutscene/gameplay, and badly written dialogue.

Should be fun, hopefully it's more MGS 3 territory, and less MGS 4

I'm expecting a 10/10. If it fails to meet that score, then it will automatically be inferior to The Masterpiece MGS4.

Hopes?  Just stay away from the many pitfalls of MGS4.  With Payton out of the picture, this is highly likely.

Expectations?  None.  I'm keeping all hype and expectations at zero.  Just don't want to be disappointed again.

For it to be the last MGS game.
Kojima is capable of more. Something new please.

Being a huge fan of the series, have no doubts will also enjoy MGS5 :)

I think the controls need updating alot, the movement of the character, etc. i'm also intrigued about the whole open WORLD map, where he said that you can go where ever you want to, very intriguing concept for the type of game it is.

Amazing engine, attention to detail, top-notch visual and audio, decent controls and options. Everything else (i.e. any story)....garbage. MirkoS77

I expect a Metal Gear game. Hype for something we've seen jackshit of wouldn't be wise.

Wish list:

• Great controls like in MGS4
• Co-op like in Peace Walker
• No MK22/Sagant tranq abuse to brake the game, thankfully PW fixed this so I'm hopeful
• Well designed levels that take some strategy to get through
• More well positioned guards/cameras/patrols, pushing us to use our tools like empty mags/chaffs/smokes/magazines to get through levels is a good thing
• Longer alert and caution phases and more emphasis on getting caught
• Amazing boss battles like in 1, 2 and 3 and for the love of god make the bosses actually relevant to the game/memorable cause 3 and 4 sucked so much at this (the fury/end/fear/pain/sorrow + screaming/laughing/crying/raging beauty, itsnothing.jpg)
• A fully fleshed out MGO, it was awesome but it just didn't feel quite finished, more stuff would be a must
• Better AI
• More CQC options, like interrogation in PW
• I really love me some MGS cutscenes so I hope they're not completely toned down (maybe I'm in the minority, don't care)

With story and characters I'm not really worried, Kojima will go crazy and do his thing, and I will love it.

That's like a scratch on the surface but it's mostly what comes to mind right now, hyped as f*ck for this.

Oh and multiplayer. I actually really enjoyed MGO despite the community being dead.

A tired, warn out, ridiculous and cheesy story.

My hope is that Kojima is able to use the better graphics card of the 360 to pump out better visuals compared to the ps3 version since 99% of developers have been able to make 360 versions of games run smoother and better.

well, MGS4 is indeed the last game in the series, MGSV is way before the events of MGS4.

My only hope is that it is as good, if not better, than the previous MGS games. Kojima never fails to amaze me. 

I agree with others that David Hayter should come back to do Snake's voice too.
