It can be completed in 2 hours or under and it costs around $30 euros.

Well we always wondered how far they'd stretch the short campaign out to ever since COD was reduced to 5 hours.

Here's your answer.

The **** does CoD have to do with anything?

Anyway I've heard 2 and 4 now, not promising. I said when this was announced that it sounded as if they were taking a prologue like the one from MGS2 and releasing it as a full game and that's sounding truer and truer which is a shame.

Game Informer claimed 4 hours...

I think both magazines should duke it out and decide.

I bet I can speed run the game in half an hour.

Ok then, seems I might be buying one less game in March. We'll find it for $20 soon enough.

No. Game Informer said they spent 4 hours with the game and completed the main mission AND did bonus content within the time.

and this is why there is nothing wrong with titanfall being MP only, why would it matter if they added a 2 hour campaign? would it really make the game better?

It's just like the intro for MGS5 isnt it?

Sort of like in MGS2, where you play as snake for the first bit.

It says "Can be completed"

Gone Home "Can be completed" in 2 minutes but it doesn't make it a 2minute game.

You read up on it more than I did, I'm on media blackout (which is why I didn't click on the above link). I only knew that Game Informer tidbit from the title of another thread:

MGS: Ground Zeroes is 4 hours long - Game Informer

I supposed if I clicked in the thread, and then the link, I would have been able to read the details, BUT I don't want to spoil ANYTHING about this latest Kojima Opus. I always expected a MGS2 Demo disk experience when I heard about this product, which was a FANTASTIC Showpiece, but very short. Came with my $50 copy of Zone of the Enders way back when.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'm going into this sucker blind.

I expect lot of hidden secret however and different ways to complete mission. I always get more gameplay out of MGS game than traditional. Still, only expect to be slightly bigger than 2 prologue or size of first 4 mission.

At least COD has a lot of content and replay value after you beat the campaign.

What does MGS GZ have? Surely it has something outside the campaign?

Prrrf I don't know why anyone thought any different.

It's one base with two hostages to rescue. Probably 40 min gameplay.

What a rip off but they know that the core gaming community are suckers for MGS.

wow, and when I heard it was 4 hours long I thought that was bad, so I suspect 90 minutes of cutscenes 30 minutes of gameplay, sound about right?

I'm sad Godjima needs to dumbdown his art for Konami's mismanagement.

A Metal Gear entry with a short campaign? Thats a first.

Yeah-- 2-4 hours? 4 hours is a little over the time it takes to speed run MGS2, 3 and 4-- and I am talking about the whole games. I await the half hour speed run videos.

It's a shame that it will cost around 45 dollars

Game informer said that Crysis 3 was 3 hours long and I beat that game in 9 hours, so...

Anyway, wouldn't be surprised, since they adopted the horrible gameplay from Peace walker...I mean, several missions on the same minuscule enviroment, that simply consisted on going from point A to point B.

at least that's how it looks so far.

Hope PP is better than that.

A "full" $30 game.

They've been honest since the beginning about this. I'm not sure what's the problem here. If they can generate revenue from this to help make MGSV, then all the power to them. Chance are, I might pick this up, even after the 4 debacle. Since it carries on after Peace Walker (speaking of which, I need the PS3 Legendary collection first).

MGS4 was like 5 hours long, the thing is that for some reason, Kojima includes cutscenes in the time counter at the final stats, so ofc the game ends up being "18 hours long".

Classic Metal Gear right there.

Is this with Cutscenes or without? Cause that makes a ton of difference.

Is this speed running? Because in MGS4, you could speed run and complete the game in under 4 hours you could actually enjoy the game and play it for 15 hours. Then again I completed it probably 100 times...

Will buy Ground Zeroes on day one, even if it costs $60.

BS, you don't need to speed run to beat MGS4 in 4 hours, the game takes 4-6 hours if you skip the cutscenes.

As i've said: The cutscenes in MGS4 count towards "gameplay time", so in the end when you see that the game took you 15 hours to beat, it actually means you simply watched all the cutscenes.

Wrong, it usually took me 8-15 hours completing it without cutscenes and 10-20 hours with cutscenes.

Wrong my ass,my first playtrough of MGS4 on naked normal took me a bit over 14h and I watched all the cutscenes. The short length of MGS4 is very well documented with the gameplay time going around 5/6h for most people, excluding the almost 9 freaking hours of cutscenes and gameplay interruptions.

Yeah right, you must suck at it then, the game is super short, with cutscenes most people finish the game around the 15h mark, wich means the actualy gameplay time is very little, and this is for a first time playthrough.

Not to mention it´s by far the easiest MGS game.

This. The game is basically the Tanker chapter of MGS2 (sold as a standalone for $40 USD), and I've clocked that in at 29 minutes before.
