PS3 , an 8 years old console almost on par with Wii U when the later has some of its biggest guns out ... Any idea where Wii is also ? The guys that should really cry about are sheeps imho. Wii is dead for many years now and Wii U is in denial while some of its best AAA 1st party sellers are out ... while still PS3 is close... i mean..lol ...

It's unrelated because his post was specifically referring to the failure of the PS4 in Japan, not some market level catastrophic failure, and the Wii U has nothing to do with how poorly the PS4 is doing there. Bringing it up just makes you seem overly defensive: 'yeah, well, my console may be failing, but so is yours!' Yes, of course it is. We've had two years to establish, analyse, discuss, gloat over, and generally thoroughly exhaust all avenues of discussion related to the fact. The PS4's failure, on the other hand, is relatively new, and still can generate some meaningful discussion, which is why it is being brought up. The fact that the Wii U is outselling it is just an amusing sidenote, when one considers the state of the two consoles in the rest of the world.

I was surprised seeing that as well. The Wii U has been outselling the PS4 for weeks now and now the 8yr old PS3 is outselling the all mighty PS4. Even the lowly PSVita is spanking it. Ouch!!

Youkai Watch is literally the new Pokemon.

Nintendo > Sony in Japan right now. When the 3DS is outselling the PS4, PS3, PSVita & PSP combined, you know you are getting your butt kicked in a region. Sony usually dominates in Japan and the Wii U has been doing terrible in every region, yet it's spanking the PS4 in Japan. It's the fact that Sony can't even dominate in their home country that's the big failure.
