yes exactly. i would love a seriously fantastic Final FantasyJandurinAgree, yah. I'm worried it may be bad. Or at least, not really, really, REALLY amazing to the power of ten thousand. I'm pretty set on ME2 though. It's going to be awesome.
Does anyone know when the review goes up?navyguy21When they decide to post it. ;)
I tend to agree with you. Assuming the new mechanics don't mess things up, we've probably got a real hit on our hands. One of the bigger complaints in the original was combat gameplay, and how cover worked, etc. Seems they certainly addressed that. Plus, it looks like exploring planets won't just be a way to greet us with text-heavy explanations. :PAwesome thread.
I'm gonna say AAA for both versions here.
It looks much more refined than the 1st.

I'm thinking so. They seemed to have really worked on many of the problems of the 1st. Hopefully in doing so, they didn't create a slew of other ones.
Lol, exloring planets in the first was quite the experience, especially when you go nothing but a text explanation of what occured :(

Yea, exploring planets in the first wouldve been more fun, and well worth it were rare items for you to find, or could do things that really affected the story. I still had fun with them though :P[QUOTE="Jandurin"][QUOTE="navyguy21"]Does anyone know when the review goes up?Shinobishyguy2 weeks after release that only applies to wii/ds games. Bring down the sky totally worth it, pinnacle station not so much. The Gold exclusive Deal of the Week are the two DLC add-ons for Mass Effect 1. 40% off, 240 ms points each, that's $3 bucks each. I'm tempted but I'm ready for some Mass Effect 2 already. They have a nice The OXM Report vid in the Spotlight section too.

I would have been shocked if you scored this less than AAA :P (still haven't seen Avatar at the IMAX yet ... next weekend!) I'll say AAA for both, although I'm a little on the fence for the 360 version. (Scores I'll say 9.0 for both, but hoping for a 9.5 for the PC)My prediction for the scores is 9.0-5 across both versions.

Completely sold out. :( Gotta wait after its release, you may find one in ebay.Question, is there anywhere in the UK which are still selling the Xbox 360 Mass Effect 2 collector's edition? I can't find one anywhere.

Well, i guess it's the game which is the main thing. Thanks man.

My same predictions.
On a side note, it's good to see Liara back....kind of. :P
Man, you can really tell that this game is going to have some memorable moments. Even the characters seem much more memorable this time around.
ironcreed
If they can top the cast of Mass Effect 1, I will be very impressed. The characters were one of the best parts about the first game.
I'm gonna say it will score AAA this time. The first one was a bit rushed but still an amazing game imo. This time they will hopefully eliminate most flaws.
I expect a 9.0 or a 9.5. I think it has a great chance of getting a 9.5 tbh.
I also expect it to sell over 5m copies on 360/PC.

Don't get me wrong, I loved the cast in the first one as well. The new characters just seem like they are going to be even more memorable to me. Something about them seems to have more life and personality. Take the Salarian scientist Mordin for instance. What few brief glimpses we have had of him shows what a stand out personality he has. Of course he is just one example.
At any rate, the new characters, along with old favorites like Tali returning will deliver an experience and moments that I think will surpass ME 1. Of course it will all boil down to opinion anyway, but I am convinced of this from what I have seen thus far.
