I seriously doubt mag will beat MW2. Good multiplayer doesnt neccissarily mean more players. sure, you have 256 players, but then you have to find a way to control all of that chaos, while keeping the game feeling chaotic. its a really difficult balance.
Am I the only person who hates more players in online shooters? I really never liked any thing that went over 10 v 10. waynehead8955v5 or 16v16 nothing in between
but 128 vs. 128 is completely pointless if nobody buys it. Not saying that they wont, but PS3 games tend not to have the most active servers, and for a game like that you NEED a server thats very active with people >.>
I bought BC about a week ago and it is horrible compared to any of the COD games. I mean no deathmatch, no team deathmatch and no capture the flag? I can't believe I wasted $20 buying this crap. Maybe BC2 will be different I dont know but I do know BC sucks.BC2 can beat MW2..Pretty easily ;)

The battlefield series was never about deathmatch. Sorry, but it actually kinda needs some..you know..."Teamwork" :|. You can't just run around trying to get kills, you have to balance the objective with killing. Well..you can just run around trying to get kills, but thats just not as fun.
Im pretty sure CTF will be on BC2, so no worries there.

I agree. I've always thought that MMO games like Arch Lord and The Matrix online are far superior to great games like Dragon Age and Mass Effect.
Translation: You fail.
I really really hope that your joking. Seriously, even the most faithful, delusional fanboy will not say that MAG, a mediocre, general FPS with a lot of people stuffed on a map can beat MW2while mw2 is only 9v9 with not a great story mode in the end mw2 is mainly only for online but 9v9... try 128v128

No he means 93soccer is a known lemming so he doesn't trust/care for his opinion-- hey soccer, u play MAG?
Also, TC, MAG has a story mode? Because at least MW2 has three separate modes.
By the way, I prefer 9v9 more than 128 vs. 128.
Why are you so easily amused by the big numbers? It means nothing except that its big.
I guess MW is also better than Uncharted 2 I guess.
In sales and popularity? No.
In gameplay probably. But its going after a different crowd MAG is pretty damn fun and you have to work together to make **** happen. But the battles are crazy sometimes and the ebb and flow of battle in the huge maps can be quite entertaining.
The feel of the weapons are good and the leveling up system is done quite nicely. The different skill trees allow for a lot of freedom to do what you want and make a character that you'll like. Plus the factions are all different enough and offer a unique style and equipment. The biggest flaw is playing with friends because if you join different factions you'll never play with each other.
The leadership system is nice and the incentives for being a leader and listening to the leader's orders makes people more willing to do what they are supposed to do instead of running around all willy nilly. It also helps that you only get 5xp for kills but a **** ton for doing objectives, repairing emplacements, and helping your squad (revives).
The learning curve high but I'm glad it'll keep the noobs and causals away and leave people who actually want to play as a team and play tactfully all there. Plus 4 different game modes ranging from 64-256 players on different maps with different objectives and a shadow war going on behind the scenes that enhances or inhibits your faction and there is enough depth to keep any shooter fan entertained for a long time to come.
Lets see no..no...and no
I was part of the mag beta for a long time *still am with the 5 dollar pre order* I've played quite a bit of the game and the beta like all beta's had problems but the least of all it wasn't allways 256 players.
It was 256 in one mode on last check with other modes having 128, 64...ect
It has no story so you dont know what your talking about specially SINCE mw2's story is awesome.
MAG while being a fun game i doubt will gain wide acceptance it will be much like zippers other games the socom games it will have a small niche fanbase but will never have the online member numbers of COD, or Halo..etc
[QUOTE="mgkennedy5"]But I was in the MAG beta and MAG's gameplay is very mediocre and not that great...n00bkidAt least you got to play the dam thing. I had to wait 2 hours for the patch just to cancel it and delete it from my PS3. lol think thats bad? on a total of 30 hours it took me to download patches for MAG either because it would freeze and i had to restart it or cause it took nearly 8 hours.
You definitely have not played the MW2 campaign and if you ask me there isn't a problem with 9v9, there's a problem with how ridiculously huge the maps are. Despite this COD MW 2 is still a very good game.while mw2 is only 9v9 with not a great story mode in the end mw2 is mainly only for online but 9v9... try 128v128

You saying more people in one match means it is better.
Soyou are also saying R2 has better muliplayer then Cod: MW2, GeoW2, and U2?
so mw2 got a 9.0 but you guys dont see is that mag has a shot at being one the greatest 1st person shooters ever you will never get a chance at this type of game ever
while looking forward to MAG, more players doesnt mean a better online experience.. however i trust MAG will deliver upon expectations but imo a max of 64 players online is more than enough...

i doubt MAG will beat MW2 as well, but you really need to play MAG. I was on the same boat as you, especially after coming off of 30 vs 30 man R2, I surely thought that MAG was going to be a frag fest on steroids. After playing the beta, i can safely say that Zipper, somehow pulled it offPlease name a couple of betas that significantly changed their gameplay when available as retail product, thanks.u cant compare a beta to the final product
