Looks like Dino Crisis 4 is in the works for Xbox.

Looks like we get to shoot dinosaurs again. Now the question is where? Space again? Dimensional rift? France? Popcorn?

This may be that sneaky japanese support Phil was talking about. Although Dino Crisis would need a complete overhaul to sell (so popcorn) well enough to be a big release in the west. I suppose it may fair a bit better in the japanese launch. I would say a solid 10,000 copies LTD. lol.

I enjoyed the first two Dino Crisis games. I'm definitely not gonna say "no" to a game with dinosaurs :p

Do they not remember the train wreck that was Dino Crisis 3 for Xbox? I sure hope MS is fully funding this venture, Capcom is essentially bankrupt, and can't afford another big bomb.

Dino Crisis 2 was to PS1 what Resident Evil 4 was to PS2, although the usual survival horror formula of being less focused on action, weapons and upgrades was still the norm so it didn't make such an impact. Btw, it had gorgeous cut scenes. I'm keen on the idea of a new one but it'd have to bring something new to the table.

Dino Crisis 2 is one of the most memorable games i've ever played back the day. I've been waiting for a proper sequel since that abomination Dino Crisis in Space.

Making a DIno Crisis game for the modern gaming market would be a difficult one and honestly, it would take a lot of RnD to create something compelling to bring that franchise out of the deadzone

It won't be too difficult IMO.

I have begging for YEARS for them to bring back the series with modern RE controls. Honestly, the modern action focus of the RE series would lend itself MUCH BETTER to the DC world. Beyond that, I would argue that DC2 very much laid the foundation for how the RE series would evolve years later. DC2 took the series from pure survival horror to an awesome action game where you could buy and upgrade weapons and such and the general game had a combo system very similar to that found in the mercenaries mode of RE4.

I think the hard thing now will be the series age. It has been over a decade since the last entry and that entry was one that was universally disliked. They will want to find a way to re-introduce the first 2 games to get this newer generation of gamers interested considering there will be a lot of gamers out there who have never played this series before.

I'd love a continuation to Dino Crisis 2. Find out what really happened with dillon, the lost ones and his daughter.

No where in the article does it state that it's Xbox exclusive. In fact, you linked to PSU; a Playstation site. Knowing Capcom
this could go either way. it could be an exclusive or it could be multiplat. We don't know which platform(s) it will be on at this
point so it's all speculation. Hell, Capcom hasn't even officially announced it yet.

While the Dino Crisis games on PS1 were awesome, and I've been wanting a sequel or reboot for a decade now, I'd love to see
this come to PS4. The problem I have is that Capcom could be playing the part of the stupid morons again and make this title
exclusive to X1; I still won't buy that system. The second problem is that Capcom doesn't seem to give a crap about it fanbases
across the board. Could they even pull off a decent sequel or reboot to this great series (I don't consider the third to have ever
been created). Lastly, Capcom has announced games before (looking at you RE Portable for PSP) and then cancelled it entirely
or at least never even said anything more about it.

Time will tell. Hopefully it's multiplat and they don't **** it up.

Wasn't it pretty much just Resident Evil, but with dinosaurs? I didn't get very far in that game before I had to return it.

@LostProphetFLCL: You should realise not everyone can get their wish boss. I want a modern Crash Bandicoot but the variables are not going to let it happen and the same is the situation with Dino Crisis, Parasite Eve and many other such games during that era. Also that particular market this modern Dino Crisis wishes to appeal too is in decline given the sales figures for Lost Planet, Dead Space and Resident Evil 6.

As i said before, it would take a lot of RnD to create something compelling for the modern gaming audience. Our taste has changed, we have higher expectations and other variables come into play with what i expect from a modern game software. Is it possible for Dino Crisis to be made, yes but its success would rely on the fact it manages to distinguish itself from the lot rather than rely on nostalgia

Well, the rumor came from an Official Xbox Magazine. It's understandable why people would assume that it's being developed for the Xbox exclusively.

Anyways, Dino Crisis 3 flop on the Xbox, I don't understand why Capcom would make another poor decision and make it exclusive to Xbone when lemmings didn't buy Dino Crisis 3, it will most likely be developed for PS3/4, 360/Xbone, and PC.

I hope it doesn't disappoint.

But this Dino Crisis thread was reported and linked right to the Playstation Universe (PSU.com), a Playstation based Website, which he linked and understood as he created the thread. A misleading thread is still a misleading thread. He took the news and added a lie on top.

I've been in SW since PS2/Xbox/Gamecube days and these types of fabricated news, misleading threads got locked at light-speed for lies, especially when you know the Topic Creator and their posting style. It will most likely be a multiplat, but then again, we'll see. I don't care what Capcom does with the series personally as I have the units, but I don't like reading lies after I click a link. There are many posters here on page one that noticed he lied as well. Posters spread FUD because the rest of the users that are lazy just typically believe the lies for months, which is why these threads get locked.

The Topic Creator made up the thread's title. It's not for Xbox at this time, it's not for any platform. It's clear as day in the Link, it's just another misleading thread. :(

If you click the link you'll find this game has not been confirmed and Capcom has not specified a platform. It's neither for PS3, or in the lying TC's thread, for Xbox. It's up in the air. It could be a PC or Wii U game at this poitn (unlikely, but still).

Yes, the TC fabricated what platform the game is releasing for (it's actually not specified) to create his Xbox slant he's known for.

The TC lied. Check the link again. They say NO platform has been announced, the TC just decided to lie when he created this thread. The title is a lie, the OP is a lie. The rumor is DinoCrisis 4 is being worked on (that's the rumor as reported by Playstation Universe and Official Xbox), which may not be true, but the TC decided to add it's for Xbox just to lie for his favorite machine.
