Resident evil and kinda assassin's creed, though currently I only buy the new ones at half price

Assassin's Creed. Unity was a huge disappointment, but I know I'll eventually get Rogue as well.
EDIT: Oh, hey. 4 days ago was 10 years here, but I never even realized until now.
Probably Tomb Raider and Hitman.
Most of these "long running" serious you guys mention haven't even been around longer for more than one or two gens.
Neither of which are "milked" per se.
I'm still a sucker for Halo and I also think people use this term lightly, especially in this discussion. I'm a sucker for Halo because I will likely buy Xbox One for Halo 5, alone.
Probably Tomb Raider and Hitman.

I classify "milking" as getting worse with each game. The new Tomb Raider reboot is an exception tho. God i love that game.
I guess it depends on the game. Games like CoD and AC are milked for sure. Yearly releases and they are getting worse with each game.
@nintendoboy16:
Mario, pokemon, donkey kong, smash, kart, starfox.
Cod, battlefield, halo, uncharted, crash if they still made it. Fifa!
Total War. Although I'm reluctant to proclaim it "milked". In comparison to other series it changes and adds quite a few mechanics while keeping the core gameplay fundamentally the same.
I'm a sucker for Assassin's Creed.
Me too. Although I think I may finally have gotten burned out on it. I blew through Rogue in a couple days then traded it in and got most of my money back at WalMart. I enjoyed it, but it felt a little stale to me. I haven't played Unity since it sucks on the PC and I don't have a current gen console yet, maybe the Victorian London one will be good.
Unity is fine on PC, for me anyway. Even without the post release patches I had very few problems and it's a gorgeous game.
Story is a bit stale though, part of the draw to AC originally was the Desmond Miles modern day side of the story. Without that there's not a lot left to link them together.
Yeah... no. Ninja Council was 100x worse than CoN series and what Ubisoft threw out (and I'm damn sure the latters is fine, considering Ubi's Naruto games have higher praise than Ultimate Ninja).
And don't act like Ultimate Ninja pre-Storm didn't have any duds (Ultimate Ninja 4... what the hell happened after how awesome UN3 was?)
I had to look up Ninja Council I couldnt remember. But thats a GBA game, I referring to main console games GameCube, PS2, 360, PS3, and now PS4 X1.
The point is, Clash of Ninjas felt half baked and really only existed to be a competitor to Ultimate Ninja.
First off: You do realize CoN came first, right? Granted in the same year, but still.
Naruto: Clash of Ninja's release dates - April 2003 (Japan)
Naruto: Ultimate Ninja's release - September 2003 (Japan)
Second off: Competition? What competition? Competition between ONLY Naruto game fans broken up like the people of Skyrim?
Ultimate Ninja quickly became the popular franchise, meaning that Clash of Ninjas almost from the start took a backseat. Obviously it was because the GC install base was way smaller to the PS2.
And it is competition because one was exclusive to Gamecube and the other was exclusive to PS2.
Just like the first Storm game stayed exclusive on the PS3 because there was a Naruto exclusive game on the XBOX 360 by Ubisoft. Once Ubisoft stopped making those 360 Naruto game, the Storm series had no competition and therefore they no longer needed to be exclusive and began to also release on PS360PC. But if Ubisoft would had kept making those 360 games, then there would of been competition between the Naruto 360 exclusive franchise and the PS3 Storm exclusive series.
