Let's see, during the NES era, Nintendo made Super Mario Bros, SM 3, Metroid, punch-out, etc..

During SNES era, Nintendo made Mario Kart, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Yoshi's Island, A Link to the Past, etc....

During N64 era, Nintendo made, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, SSB, Ocarina of Time, WR 64, etc....

And THIS GEN, what did Nintendo make?

I agree with you, there first party games were unusually rubbish. Hope they do better on Revolution because I love the Zelda and Mario games when they're done right.

Of course it will survive next-gen. As it did this gen, and any other gen. Nintendo made the most prophit so they have more money to spend on producing consoles. Get over it. Also Nintendo is embracing the casual market by making something that stands out, not only in look, but in price. Even the Reovlution will beat Microsoft this gen, unless better titles are announced. Get over it. "No legendary titles" is a weak excuse. Seeing as the only "legendary" game Xbox managed to put out was Halo, and Halo only. Actually if you want to get technical, the GameCube, Xbox, and PS2 have released a number of Legendary titles. :roll:

First off PS2 and XBox didn't do much better in terms of legendary games this gen, not intendding to flame either systems but.

Nintendo (Legendery GCN Games)

Wind Waker (for those of you able to see beyond the graphics, and not call it kiddy I notice how only the kiddy one's call it kiddy)
Fire Emblem: Path Of Radiance (not one on my list but became preety legendary)
Metroid Prime 1 and 2 (sure Nintendo wasn't 100% behind this, but without Nintendo these games would cease to exist)
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
Super Smash Brothers Melee (so just because it's a sequal dosn't make it legendary, I am owner of both SSB and SSBM and consider this legendary as many GCN owners agree)

And the number one legendary game, which we are hoping to top all Zelda games...

While it's possible to not become a legendary game for GCN its very unlikely and its very possible to be one of the leading games of this gen alongside, or before Resident Evil 4 and Halo 2

if it's as good as it looks, it should be one or the best of this gen....
