Bam

As usual, insightful stuff. Its pretty wishful thinking to figure a monopoly will benefit the consumer in any way.

Close, pro-consumer. Sony never even comes up in the video, if you watched it. Which you didn't.

Do you really want to extol the opinions of a guy that got someone and his kids harassed for calling him sexist?

I used too but then I figured that hes just a shock jock whom soldout to get more views on escapist.

That image is from Steve Perlman who's been in the industry forever. He's worked for EA and Vivendi Universal.

'Voices of Reason' 'Jim Sterling' Pick one. He is alright as an loud internet voice who thrives on the cesspit forum trenches and attention, but he isn't what I'd call the most reasoned character with a microphone and camera. And well, I'd say that's part of his appeal, and obv. the joke of his escapist thing.

I choose both, because he usually has a point. [QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"] That image is from Steve Perlman who's been in the industry forever. He's worked for EA and Vivendi Universal.

Interesting, I would be interested in seeing where the picture was pulled from all the same.

Can you point out some part in the video where what he's saying is incorrect? In fact, most times he's spot on.

Only reason I've seen people say they hate him is for his smugness

"While members of the gaming media attempt to see the positive side of murdering the used game market and snubbing retailers, all Jimquisition can see are greedy, cowardly Starscreams, waiting to sieze power and do terrible things with it." lolsterling, thinking he's some paladin of truth, when i have yet to see a single article by the gaming media that has anything other than harsh words and complaints to say about the xbone.

"That leaves publishers with about $27 per disc sold" Keyword publishers. How much is going to the people who do the work? Either way, it was the authenticity of the first picture I was calling into question. Decent read anyways.

i imagine devs get paid monthly, and may or may not get a bonus depending on performance, rather than having their paycheck rely on sales.

I always though devs got money to make the game and for wages etc and then after just a small percentage of the sales but not a whole lot. The publisher got more to try recoup what they paid you to make the game
