Is PS3's comeback the greatest in history?

PS3 launched to abymal sales and reception thanks to terrible marketing and a 600 dollar launch price. Fast forward to today and the PS3 has surpassed the 360 in sales and is loved by millions across the globe.

It's all about the games. Exclusives. WHile Microflop was busy buying DLC Sony was stocking up studios, making AAA's and getting them sales. Microflop didnt know what hit them

Worst console? Because it sold less than its predecessors? By that fvcked up logic SNES is worse than the Wii,  and we know that's some BS. Why don't you go play Gun and Hitman Blood Money. You say that as if MS got 360 where it's at on its own merits. Sony basically handed MS their success this gen. A $400 dollar,  easy to develop for, PS3 would've sent MS packing.

Bell curve, still impressive that they caught up to Microsoft.

Overall? No, it didn't really make a comeback. We have to remember that the PS brands was known for sweeping away the competition in their respected gens. This didn't happen with the PS3, and the PS3 was the 1st PS brand to come in last in it's gen.

However, going by the general reception after the release of the console, and it's heavy cons (launch price, and lack of system selling software in the 1st year), I would say the ps3 have made a fantastic comeback in both software, and sales. Do remember, the 360 was a whole 8 mill ahead when the ps3 was released, and even though the 360 may have been out in front when the Wii-U released (even though I was under the assumption that both the 360 and the ps3 was tied in sales), it wasn't by millions, in fact, I think it was only ahead by a couple of hundred thousand at most.

Honestly though, I don't know about greatest come back, but they did pull it out of a sh*tty situation.  If you owned a PS3 for those first couple of years, you probably felt like a sucker.  I know I did.  But in the end it was my favorite console of last gen.  Hopefully they'll do much better with the PS4.
