Define force
If it's about sales, no one other than CD Project Red is really piling on big numbers. If it's their quality. Monolith's work in the last 5 years doesn't come close to what they used to be, People Can Fly made one game worth a damn, Techland is just as likely to pump out dog shit as much as they might make a good game, and then a small indie scene.
Rising force is pushing it at best.
Hm, didn't you mean somebody else here, surely not Monolith Studios that made FEAR and Mordor?
What I meant by force is creating a considerable amount of games that were critically acclaimed to a certain degree (like most of the games I've mentioned are at least 70 on metacritic, but most of them around 80, or high 70), compared to other European countries. On a secondary level, a level that is obscure to most of you is also comparing Poland of the 2010s to the Poland of previous decades in gaming (from 90s onwards), where the quality games were fewer and far between (most notably Earth 2140 and its sequels).
Regarding sales: This Ware of Mine did exceptionally well for a PC indie game since it recouped its dev costs in just 2 weeks, although no official figures were disclosed.
It seems that the consistency and the amount of this games has considerably increased. Yes, we may not have a lot of consistent AAA developers, but there are a lot of indie ones and a lot of middle-sized aspiring ones as well. That is a stark contrast to 1990s were Polish games were developed once in a blue moon, and I think Poland can almost go head-to-head with Western European countries now.
