I'll admit I'm mostly a sheep and a sega fan but I don't bash consoles. linkhero1
Lol, sega fan
i do it sometimes, but only when i need to stoop to that level when arguing with a little cow which the only thing they would understand is  and
but yes i do do it.
I am a ****ing sheep.
EDIT: Oh yeh, this is pretty old, isn't it? Oh well, I'm still a ****ing sheep. :P
Its also amazing how many people in this thread are banned; just click through a couple of usernames. The TC; banned. Onslaught - who i can even remember - banned. elie05 banned. Funny how many hardcore posts die in the space of a year, eh?Ninja-VoxThat is funny, so is the "game over" screen
I'm warning you, this is a long read but it could warm any gamer's heart. :)
I'm going to admit, I have a little bit of a fanboy in me, but I have gotten signifigantly better since January. Before then I was 100% lemming. I would be angered any time someone tries to downplay Halo or Gears of War or bash the XBOX franchise. I hated Nintendo. Why? Because I was so frustrated with my Gamecube and angered by Nintendo's failure to support it's own product efficiently (This was back in 2004).Around the time I was resenting Nintendo and Halo 2 was on the horizon.
The funniest thing is that I used to hate Halo so much. Seeing it on the covers of every game magazine I saw, hearing about how amazing it was, and knowing I'd never be able to play it on my little gamecube saddened me. So what did I do? I did the fanboyish thing and denied acknowledgement of Halo even being a decent game. It ate away at me, my jelousy could not be contained. The day Halo 2 came out I made my way to my local mall and sold my gamecube and all my games on November 9th, 2004. I kissed Metroid prime, Super Smash bros. Melee, and Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes (3 of my most beloved games ever) along with about 10 other games goodbye in anguish for Halo 2 and an XBOX.
And so, I became a lemming. I joined these forums right before the 360 launch to share my excitement with fellow gamers and have been here ever since. In my time here, I have been exposed to fanboyisms of all kinds, and only when I saw my mirror counterparts in the SONY and Nintendo fanboys did I realize that us fanboys were all missing out on the other sides. I only realized this in late January of this year, and when I did I changed as a poster, and a gamer forever. I thought more rationally and debated with facts rather than opinions more and more.
In February I opened up my heart and picked up a PS3, and now, in 2 days I will be returning to my Nintendo ways as well with the purchase of a brand new Wii. PSWii60 will be finally ready to go. And to make it a true happy ending, I will be planning on buying those 3 jewels from the past again when I get the chance, those being MP, Super Smash bros. Melee, and MGS: The Twin Snakes. =*)

That really was a heart-warming story.
Okay,maybe not,but it was an interesting read.:P
I find fanoyism to be extremely pathetic. I learned from my mistakes last gen, i was a strong supporter of Sony and Nintendo but i hated the xbox thus missing out on a lot of incredible games, i bought an Xbox 360 on the day of launch and havent regretted it since. However i still feel a lot of love for sony, they've had a tough time this gen but i'm still sticking beside them as with MS and Nintendo.SSJ_NegaGood for you. This is like listening to alcoholics anonymous, except instead of kicking an alcoholic addiction, its fanboyism. "Hi. I'm Paul, and I am a fanboy." "Hi Paul. How long has it been?" :P
I was just reading a post from mr elie05, who was calling another person an ignorant fanboy because they liked the Nintendo Gamecube. Now i'm not flaming elie here, it's just an example. He absolutely loves anything Sony. PS2 is the best current-gen, PSP is the best handheld, PS3 will be the best next gen - that is FACT to him. Clearly, he's quite the fanboy. But strangely he doesn't seem to realise it.
And then that got me thinking.... am i a fanboy?
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!"
Yes it would appear i am. I'm not that big an XBox fanboy. I love the actual console and games, but Microsoft make too many stupid mistakes to hold my allegiance. I won't hear a word said against the DS however, i've come to realise, no matter how true.
I tend to laugh whenever a person tries to claim ownage on anything on the PC.
Anybody else willing to admit that they are a fanboy or not? It's just interesting to see what the likes of Onslaught, hd28guy and all the other system wars cats think of their own conduct and general attitude.
Funky_Hamster
Yeah, 100% cow. I don't mind 360, its just a watered down PS3 really, and a hate Wii.
I have a 360, PSP, Top end PC, Dreamcast, Xbox, atari 2600, Sega genesis, Game Gear, PS1, PS2 and a super nintendo.
I bash the PS3 because its a shining example of a console "NOT" to release....
I think every knows im a fanboy, but dont think I make blatant fanboy remarks like most other fanboys.O.O
