If you could only own one system in 2015, which would it be?

Damn. I was ready to just say PC, but it's not exactly that simple.

I mean with PC, I get the best version of MGSV which is the main attraction for me this year, plus the best versions of other multiplats and some damn good looking exclusives...

But then, there is Bloodborne. With the PS4 I'd get to play a decent enough version of MGSV, but I'd still get Bloodborne. To top it off I'd get Uncharted 4. Granted I'm not a big fan of the Uncharted games, but UC4 looks like it may alleviate the issues I had with the previous titles. Oh and of course there is Persona 5 which I will pretend I'm hyped for to appease the king of SW.

WiiU? I think I could do without it in 2015. The main attraction there is ZeldaU and I'm not expecting that until end of the year. Xenoblade is also looking tight, but overall there is no way the WiiU could carry me through 2015.

In the end, I guess I'd still pick PC, but PS4 would be a good 2nd choice.

And this topic really drives home the fact that being a single platform owner would blow.

Persona 5 isn't exclusive. I guess maybe you meant you had to get rid of all of your last gen consoles, too. Honestly, I'd probably go with a PS3 over the PS4. It has more quality games that I haven't played yet than the PS4 does.

Given a choice of anything, I'd take the PC, though.

PC. I would probably get bored of gaming if all I had was a console.

Too early to say, but Xbox one provided Banjo and scalebound come out this year. Interested in Crackdown 3 too. I can live with 900p witcher 3, Ps4 isn't a powerhouse either :p

As for controllers I don't like all the extra crap on the dualshock 4, the battery life sucks and the sticks are made with shit apparently.

Normally I would say my PC, but I have a lot of games for my 3DS I want to play in 2015. So I'll go with 3DS.

Xbox One will do me fine most of 2015, but I'm gonna have to get a PS4 when Persona 5 arrives.

I was going to buy one to play P5, but tell me, in my position, would you rather have spent ~$300 to buy a PS3 for P5, or ~$400 on PS4 for P5, with the latter option at least keeping me current? Similarly, given that I already have a PS4, which can not only play the game, but will probably play it better, why would I now spend money on getting a PS3, and why do I need to worry about or acknowledge its existence, when I am considering just which of the current generation machines will serve me best this year? I hope you are seeing my point.

I understand PC players can play P5 any time they wish to, because most PC players will probably own a PS4 and/or PS3 alongside their PC (the real world doesn't ask you to choose just one console and stick with it :p), but that is not the point of this thread, after all- this thread did ask you to pick one and stick with it, and if you chose PC, you'd be unable to play P5 in any capacity.

My point was that regardless of the 4 platforms you have right now, you should buy a ps3 since, imho, there's alot of awesome exclusives that would justify the console.

BTW, if you don't have a ps3 or pc, do you have a 360? Because if not, you can't play all those awesome last gen titles. So even then, a ps3 would be a better choice.

I do have a 360. The PS3 and Bone are the only ones that I'm missing right now.

Gotta go with PC. I was worried about having to purchase a console for my fighting game fix, but there really isn't a need to. MKX, SFV, Tekken 7, and possibly KI will all be on PC. I also have a feeling Left 4 Dead 3 will be announced later in the year and PC is the best place to play those games imo.

Well, if we don't count last gen and it's onyl for games releasing this year, i can see P5 would push you to the ps4. PC for me.

Still, if we where talking beyond 2015, i'd still say PC sicne you could buy a PS3 for P5, and all other exclusive, latter down the line.

Wii U. Between VC, indie, Wii, and Wii U games its just too good of a value. Backwards compatibility is huge for me. Plus this year I would get X, Splatoon, Zelda U, Mario Maker, Devil's 3rd, Starfox, and many other surprises.

PC, there are only a handful of PS4 and Wii U games I want to play. I would be very sad not to be playing Bloodborne, though.

pc. it has acceptable graphics and frame rates. it has a hell of a lot of games, with new ones coming all the time. for example, i really want to play this recently released game: grey goo.

PS4 is the system I'm getting in 2015 with 2 GOTY/GOTG level exclusives (Uncharted 4, Bloodborne), other exclusives, multiplats, indies for a total of around 300 games in 2015.

I don't have a PS3 now- I do own one, but it's back at home. Unfortunately, home for me happens to back on the other side of the world, in India, so it's a bit inaccessible right now lol.

I have played Uncharted, and mostly every other PS3 game worth playing (it was my favorite console last generation after all), the only exception is TLOU, which I hope to catch up on on PS4.

Well, wanting to play the best version of a game that you're interested in (both graphics and performance wise) wouldn't make for a graphics whore. I just want the best experience for my buck. I mean shit man. I still enjoy PS1 games and those are the fuggliest things in existence lol.

Graphics and performance aside, even the "as a gamer" response still defaults to PC since there are just so many more games than all these consoles combined.

The only reason why the PS4 registers as a possible decision for me in this topic is because Bloodborne happens to be my 3rd most anticipated game behind MGSV and ZeldaU... kind of throws a wrench in this hypothetical situation.

If I go PS4, I get to play two of my most anticipated games, but with one of them being slightly gimped.

If I go PC, I get the best version of my most anticipated game, but miss out on 1 game that I really want to play. Still, the truckload of other games available on PC (exclusives and best multiplats) pretty much makes up for that loss.

The system with Zelda always wins. Zelda coming out this year? Well... it would be hard to top that.

Star Citizen modules and American Truck Simulator are all the gaming I'll really need for the year.

But I just got into Civ V (bought the complete pack over Xmas) and, well, I can say that I see why people get addicted to this shit. Beyond Earth was okay, but seemed really specialized. This is just a very general, but incredibly deep experience that focuses more on periods in history I enjoy (the sci-fi setting of BE is nice, but I want to have Gandhi threaten me with nukes).

Between WiiU and PC since they are the only worth platforms right now.

I mean, Blizzard is hitting hard this year, not only will they probably release new material for Hearthstone, but they will have their own MOBA game, their own Team Fortress and of course, the last chapter of Starcraft 2...aside the usual PC greatness that we always get, not having a good PC would be awful for any gamer.

But...and with that being said, i had to choose WiiU since it has Starfox and Zelda, two of my most loved franchises ever...not to mention the sequel to the best JRPG from last gen, also Splatoon looks rather fun plus Mario Maker and few other games make WiiU a must own for me this year.

I think Uncharted 4 and Gran Turismo 7 are enough to tip the scales in the PS4's favor. PC would be my second choice.

PS4 has the most appealing exclusive lineup this year and the best looking versions of multiplats. The one I wouldn't want is the WiiU. Dafuq are ppl gonna play besides Zelda and Xenoblade?

Witcher 3 and MGSV made my decision with PC. Can't imagine those running any good on consoles especially with how superior GZ is.

Wii U will be a close second with Zelda.
