Would you miss them?
Or
Would you celebrate?

It's funny how Cows try to act like Lems are bad people and then when they troll it's perfectly acceptable.
Â
Boggles the mind.
If we consider how XBL drastically changed how gamers play with each other, and how games are distributed on the consoles, then yah I'd be sad. Why would I want less competition especially when that competition radically changed how we perceive consoles today?Â
Just imagine what the PS3 would be like right now without the Xbox around. I'm guessing underpowered, overpriced, and it'd have terrible online.
Microsoft pushed Sony into making the PS3 better, and vice versa.

I think that there are only two reasons in which Microsoft would drop out of the gaming industry:
1.) When the Xbox brand is so far into the red than they already are right now (their investors/shareholders will force them to close up shop of the Xbox brand), or
2.) When Sony themselves drops out of the gaming industry (or are being forced to), especially when Sony is one of the very main reasons why Microsoft got themselves into the gaming industry in the first place, to knock out Sony (link about it here).

And yet you have the tendency to creat anti-sony threads constantly abonsabo.
Perfect example of the Kettle and the Pot ;)
on the online front I can agree but as far as traditional games go they haven't competed in a long time. Â That is why I miss Sega. and yet the moment Sega left the gaming scene Nintendo stop trying. Â No you have it wrong, the reason nintendo ever had a prime is because they had a competitior like Sega pushing them.
with Sony and M$ they just said Fvck it.

Not really. Arguably their best output was on the N64 and Gamecube- the two consoles produced when they weren't under any threat from Sega whatsoever. I think they stopped trying with the Wii because the Wii was selling so well anyway. And their handheld output is still insane. I can agree their console output has declined since 2006 though.xbl change how gamers played? every heard of pc online gaming? and its free? Microsoft bring nothing new to the table..I dont know why fanboys think the PSN is so terrible when basically its good enough to go online and play.I have no trouble with it .The new PSN that will be on the PS4 will match xboxlive services ..How are you lemmings goin to justify the price now ? I dont want MS to disappear because Sony need the competition to keep them on their toe..but i do want ms do more worst then Sony..lol..If we consider how XBL drastically changed how gamers play with each other, and how games are distributed on the consoles, then yah I'd be sad. Report sent.
At this point? It wouldnt matter at all.
Their competition made Sony better but right now theyre not contributing anything. Still, it's good for them to remain in the market.

Variety is good.

I would much rather have Sony drop out, they have created some of the worst fan following ever.

Didn't even take a minute to for someone to prove my point.
I wouldn't care, to be honest.
Been gaming on consoles long before MS (or Sony) came into the picture.
Sega vs Nintendo fo' life, yo!!!!
Can't imagine why MS would drop out since the company as a whole is making plenty of money. Sony, on the other hand, is bleeding it.
I would be happy. Would rather Apple or Google be here than M$.

Then you'd just start complaining about them. Any company that is publicly traded is gonna piss people off sometimes because shareholders are freaking soulless. Everything is about the bottom line with them, nothing else.
Man, could you imagine how much of a failure the 360 would have been if they didnt have NIN to copy from?mems_1224
DUDE...I totally fixed it for you..now you have truth..good night
