inb4 bitching about indies

For $1 or more you get

  • Thomas Was Alone (which is shit)
  • Puzzle Bots
  • Dustforce (one of the more unique looking 2D platformers, plus it didn't control well on Vita so I waited)
  • VVVVVV (A game I wanted to play, but forgot it was on PC and I sure as fuck ain't buying it on the 3DS)
  • CaveStory+ (Has quite a fan following)

For $6 or more you get

  • Reus
  • Limbo (I looooooove Limbo. So fun on Vita and probably as great or better on PC)
  • Cthulu Saves the World (Played a bit, decent enough)
  • Mutant Mudds Deluxe (Heard of it, big fan following)
  • Lone Survivor Director's Cut (Great atmosphere and idea, bad execution)
  • Element4 (Box art is interesting)

For $10 you can also get Teslagrad, which I think @tagyhag plays. You know what I'm stealing if you drop a code Tagy.

Check it out, buy games (I paid a buck, yes, shill me) for the price you want, and enjoy. You're also helping charities!

I'll think about it

I don't generally look at the Weekly bundle because of the set values

#3 Edited by sibu_xgamer (256 posts) -

I buy almost every Humble Bundle but not the weekly sales. I hope CaveStory releases on a regular bundle.

#4 Posted by IgGy621985 (4572 posts) -

It's pretty average imho.

#5 Posted by mems_1224 (45817 posts) -

The humble bundles this year have been pretty awesome

#6 Posted by PhazonBlazer (11385 posts) -

Hmmm, not bad.

I know I'll never play most of them though lel

#7 Posted by MonsieurX (28765 posts) -

Already have a good part of them

#8 Posted by musicalmac (22690 posts) -

The EA and THQ bundles spoiled me.

#9 Posted by T3H_1337_N1NJ4 (2076 posts) -

Already have almost all of them.

Also Thomas Was Alone is a pretty good game. The only thing that's shit is your opinion.

Micromanaging: The Platformer

Somehow TitanFall bundle and temporary price cut isn't humble. I guess it is because it wasn't 1 dollar.

#12 Posted by Vatusus (4236 posts) -

Meh. Already have Limbo and the others dont interest me. Pass

Micromanaging: The Platformer

I do agree that it's a game I'd recommend for the story/presentation rather than for the gameplay. But it's still a pretty good game.

I got past an hour of hoping that it could show some poise and be something beyond narrative, but honestly, it was awful then. I'm a real big stickler on platformers being fun as a game first.

Maybe just three blocks would have been smart, or even co-op (is there co-op? I played it on Vita)

No, there isn't any co-op. You always have to go around switching blocks. I think you end up with 7 in the end. But the game is short enough and the story is good enough that it doesn't really get grating. Well, it did for you I guess.

Fuck me, that's a good bundle this week. :D

I guess I'll be getting it. Thanks for the heads up Blab. :)

#17 Edited by SolidTy (41589 posts) -

I got most of these but that puzzler in previous bundles.

That's been happening a lot with their bundles lately. I swear Cave Story+ and Limbo were in a few bundles and I know Dustforce, and VVVVVV were as well.

Good deal for those new to bundles.

I'm the same way. i do like the whole idea of Humble Bundle and the money that goes to charity. I've gotten tons of games through it.

Shots fired.

LOL Indie games. PC Master Race my ass. Hermits can't even play masterpieces like Red Dead Redemption or Uncharted 2.

#22 Posted by foxhound_fox (86977 posts) -

Compared to some others, that one is kinda boring.

#23 Edited by Roler42 (481 posts) -

This is actually one of their best weekly deals, sure a lot of us have already most of these games, but for those who don't? it's a steal, completely worth it

One of the main reasons why PC gaming is better than console gaming.

Cave Story+ is amazing, like freaking masterpiece good, if you haven't got it already. Get the bundle for it alone.

#33 Posted by PrincessGomez92 (3245 posts) -

Cave Story is so frigging good. Got it on WiiWare.

PSN+ costs $50, though.

#40 Posted by XboxDone74 (2047 posts) -

@PurpleMan5000: im sorry $50 is a lot of money for you. I have psn+, and paid full retail for Puppeteer. Some of us are just in a different financial state than others I suppose.

I'm sorry that you think getting a "free" copy of a game you already paid full retail for is a better deal than having the option of donating $6 to charity to get 11 games.

As someone who just got a Surface Pro this looks interesting, but what exactly is a "Humble Bundle"?

#44 Posted by benleslie5 (7696 posts) -

Thomas Was Alone and VVVVV are worth the purchase for Indie games

#45 Posted by Blabadon (25269 posts) -

@kuu2: You pay as much as you want for the base set of games, and as you cross certain thresholds you unlock another tier of games. You also choose if you want to attach the games to your Steam account and how to divide up your funds and whom they go to.

This is a pretty good bundle that a Surface Pro should easily run.

@Blabadon: teslagrad alone deserves my $10

played the game for free and now i owe them my money because they deserved it

#47 Posted by jg4xchamp (46694 posts) -

I should probably get to Tomas Was Alone.
