How the 360 going to handle GTA5?

Given RDR and GTA IV's inferiority on the PS3, the real question should be, how is the PS3 going to handle GTA V? R* already proved twice they can provide a superior open world experience on supposed inferior hardware. There's no reason to think GTA V will have issues on the 360.

Now before I get lynched by the mob, this isnt a thread so much about the hardware of the 360. Its aimed at its content medium. The DVD. The wonderful little disc that has provided years of entertainment for all. But now as games are getting bigger and bigger, is the DVD holding back game development? As devs try and squeeze data into the limited space on the disc, the cracks are begining to show.

Like it or not, the 360 is the weakest of the bunch. The PS3 has blu-ray which can pack more on the disc although you do have to install everything and the PC has Digital Distrubtion. The 360 is stuck with the DVD. I know R* will perform some sort of wizardery but should be really have to?

2 disks. Same or better performance than the PS3.

I'm getting the 360 version till i'm sure the PC version isn't a broken mess, like how GTA IV PC launched. Once the first patch or so is out i'll get the Pc version. Heil68

Aside from probably being on multiple discs, the 360 should be able to handle it just as well as the PS3 version. It's still the same engine that RDR was on I believe, they just did an overhaul of it.

Regardless I'm sure the game will be great on all platforms. Nobody loses.

When I watched the new trailer, I was thinking "How on earth can the 360 handle all of this?".

that scares me too. that's the reason i'm getting it for the PS3. because I don't want my Xbox to blow up.

It's silly to pre-order really. I mean what is the point? It's better to wait until we get closer to the release date, so more information will circulate the web about which version is superior and such.

As others have said i can see them going with an install of the other discs to avoid any swapping or something along those lines.

That game will struggle on both console platforms.

Tech is just too outdated.

There will be three DVDs,one for each protagonist.

You will have to swap disks each time you want to switch.

Actually xbox 360 is the most powerfull console right now, it is definatly vastly more powerfull GPU wise than PS3 and more powerfull than the junk GPU in WiiU too

So, will easilly handle it

An open world game for PS3 has never turned out well.  Not enough ram.

Still, guess GTA V stuff is still relevant, so as everyone pointed out, an install should help things out. Also, don't forget how GTA IV ran in higher resolution on the 360 according to DF, despite the Blu-Ray on the PS3.

All in all, if you were to play GTA V on the 360, I wouldn't worry too much...

I think it will be a very large install process but thats becuase the 360 only uses DVD's this isn't something new and something that everybody knows. it just means you will probs have to install it. All I care about is which console will play it better the PS3 or the 360 in game with everything installed that needs to be installed.
