I hope they didn't rush it because of NXE, otherwise expect some problems with HOME

I hope it's not rushed either, because they've had forever it seems to work on it.
Aren't they going to have a public beta before it releases?
Wow NXE comes out the same day or was it the 18th?
Anyway, either way, whatever they're releasing on November 19th, it'll still be a beta version of Home.
Cry On is THAT WAY down the road

I don't understand your response. It honestly went right over my head.
Explain it.
OH the Mistwalker game! Now I understand! :P
Thank you for that. Yeah I'm rather baffled Microsoft focused more on Halo: Recon at TGS rather than more Japanese centric games as well.

Either they wanted to use the big event (which is covered by gaming journalists from all over the world)or they were hoping they could get the Japanese into Halo. I certainly hope it wasn't the latter though.

TreyoftheDead
The former makes the most sense, but the latter is applicable as well. Wasn't Gears of War pretty popular of the Japanese userbase for a couple of weeks before dropping off?

I believe so.
Anyone know if the Japanese prefer third person shooters over first person? Or are they against shooters in general?
is it just me, or are other people happy with the current XBL and PSN?clone01
Yeah fine as is but things change I guess :?...

Yea its just always nice to have something new. I guess..
I'll believe it when I hear it from Sony.heretrix
Better yet, I'll believe it when I see it for d/l on my PS3 :P.
That being said I am still excited for Home. I will make great use of it since I am interested in social networking (what we are doing now). And what better what to do it than with people you have a common interest with :)?

Already the way they are at is pretty cool and modern looking.
I like the updates, but not really going "OMG NEEDZ NOWZERZ!!!".
Yeah. Plus the difference is that Home won't change the current XMB in any way other than adding an icon to load it. Home will just be another PS3 application, while the NXE is a total revamp of the 360 dashboard and Marketplace.

Well I certainly hope it's as cool as people want it to be. But I've been skeptical from the start and what I've seen so far added with Sony's inability to launch anything properly, I don't really have a lot of faith in the project. But I consider myself a fair person and maybe I'm wrong. It wouldn't be the first time.Ill believe it when i see it. There have been so many dates before.thelastguy
DOn't be so skeptical. But who cares? We have LBP and Resistance 2!!!!

I see, but don't let fanboys have you expecting it to be the end of the world online system. It's not.
Home will be what Sony has always intended it to be: a way for gamers to communicate and connect in many unique ways. Also a way to generate money .
The coolest feature IMO is the ability to setup a party. You have an icon around your head that basically lets others around you know that you want to start a party and launch a game from Home. The neat thing is that it's not restricted to just your friends. It's random people just walking around. A cool way to connect and communicate.
That's right around when Left 4 Dead is being released. I'll be too busy playing that to even think about downloading home to my PS3. I'll get around to it eventually though.channtheman1
I know so true.

LOL. I really don't put too much stock in what fanboys say..I'm just saying it would be cool if it was as exciting as people want it to be..I think the problem with HOME is it's perception. Sony has not been exactly clear on what it actually is, they've only given a few details on what it does. If they don't come up with a mission statement soon, I can see HOME going sideways real fast. The thing that XBL has going for it is that MS knows and has known from the very beginning what XBL is and that has helped them shape it into what it is today.Well see if Home can dodge it's comparisons to live and turn into a great experience for it's users.
Does anybody else find it weird that the Inquirer is the first source to report this?
And I dont care. I also don't care about a lot of the features of the NXE. I just want the games!!
Unlike the NXE, Playstation Home will get updated frequently so Home will keep growing very fast while the NXE maybe only once or twice a year. Once Home becomes a success, just give M$ 1 or 2 years to come with a Home ripoff like they always do with their products.Hitman533
How do you know NXE won't be updated frequently?
If you're going to talk about rip offs, then we can discuss Sony's rip offs of Acheivements or motion control... Every company steals ideas from eachother if they're successful. Get used to it and stop being such a fanboy.
