Remaking games that are older then 3 years and one that is older then 8 years isn't milking. Rereleasing a game that isn't even one year old is.

Why not other odst and reach halo? Those are ones I have not play...

Halo 4 should be omitted since it was COD tier trailer trash. At the beginning of Halo 5, Cortana should wake up Master Chief and inform him that he has woken from a Mountain Dewritos induced coma and was having nightmares. Those nightmares where canon for Halo 4, which would explain why it was such a bad game.

This'll be day one if the price it right. I wonder how they'll handle multiplayer though? I'm thinking it'll either be Halo 2's multiplayer or more likely a sort of "best of", where they'll pick a selection of the best maps and game modes from across the series.

Also, am I the only one who's hoping Microsoft might also do something similar to this with Gears of War, prior to the release of Black Tusks first game.

I just want to experience the story, I don't care if they even drop the multiplayer. I just want to know what is so great about the Halo universe (I've never played it).

Does by "Master Chief" collection mean that it won't include ODST or Reach? Because that would be disappointing. I'd gladly take ODST or Reach over Halo 4.

I don't get. How much of an upgrade is this? Is this just going to be the 360 anniversary edition? Or is 343 literally updating again for Xbox One? Personally I kind of dig it. Halo 2s havent aged as well as the other games in the series in some respects, and it opens up the ease of doing coop campaigns over Live. Think I'm going to buy an Xbox One pretty soon.

3 and 4 is unnecessary. They already did 1 recently. They should have just done 2. Get straight to the point, that's the one everyone is waiting for, don't need to convolute it with the other crap.

As long as the multiplayer elements stay intact for each game, I am all over this. I would love to rekindle some old system link Halo parties. Playing online is fine, but when you have a group of 10-15 people playing together in the same house, it takes on a whole new level!! Halo 4's MP left a little bit to be desired for me, but Halo CE, 2 and 3 were epic experiences.

A little bit of both I guess, the miliking is inherant to re-releases. As for the value, it's through the roof here, but it also depends on what kind of upgrade the games will get, and will you be able to play online with each one? If so, 60$ is nothing for this collection, it's a blind day 1 purchase for any Halo fan. I'd love to replay all the campains back to back, co-op, remastered in better graphics...that alone would be enough for me.

The flurry of news for Xbox One in the past few days has been interesting to say the least. They're finally bringing out their big guns....or are they? Announcinng all this prior to E3.....now I'm even more interested for E3.

I hope they make the transition seamless between the titles. Like they play out like one big story or game.

I am not into Halo, but that is how you do a collection.

I'm not demented enough to get an Xbone, but if I was I'd probably end up picking this up because, let's be honest, there's **** all else good on the Bone.

I hated Halo 3. It literally bored me to tears. Only played it for the local co-op and we had to force ourselves to finish it. I remember having fun with Halo 1 on PC though so I would probably buy the collection for a decent price. Only if it's retail though.

I'd buy the hell out of this, if it turns out to be true.

I have zero doubt that this will have beta access.

If this is 60 dollars, it is an auto purchase for any x1 owners.

Why this is bad for M$ and 343: Everyone will see how much superior 1,2 and 3 are compared to 4. Everyone is gonna wonder WTF happened and how things got all screwed up so bad.

Why this is good: It only is if it includes multiplayer from the first 3 games.
