I never expected Brawl to surpass Halo 3's day one sales. It would simply be impossible for any game, except for Halo 4.

But you do have to admit that this is great for Nintendo and will really help push out more console sales.

What about Grand Theft Auto IV and Gears of War 2?

i know nintendo games sell well over time im just saying that past games in the Halo series have outsold past smash bros games so i doubt it will sell more than it but then again the wiis userbase is growing alot faster than gamecube so it probaly has a chance with 360 sales on the decline

anyways GTA 4 next month will own both as said before

well, SSBB has sold somewhat close to half of what Halo 3 sold already, and it hasnt even been released in europe yet.

halo has been out for months, so its sales are stale. SSBB just came out, so its sales are fresh and plenty (plus as some people mentioned, Nintendo games seem to have legs, they will keep selling well for a little while)

you dont need a crystal ball to just look at these numbers and figure something out

I was right and the hermits were wrong.

Halo 3 sold more in one day in America (2.4 million) than SSBB sold in one week in America and Japan combined (2.2 million)

Halo 3 also sold 2.8 million in its first week alone in America.

All hail the king of sales, Halo 3.

All right, let's get this out of the way. I like halo 3 more. But you can't play sales because there are too many halo fanboys. I've never heard of a Smash Bros fanboy. Just my opinion.

Well, Crysis is the first game in a quite unfamiliar series whereas Halo 3 is the final game in a tremendously popular series. It shouldn't stagger you.

Here's the thing with Halo 3, it sells great fr up to maybe a year and then there is a huge drop off while SSBB sells pretty well throught the whole cycle of the console. Just this is what happened between Melee and Halo 2. So I would be suprised if at the end of the consoles' lifecycle, Halo3 is still outselling SSBB
