Great games....that you didn't finish..

Anyone else have problems finshing video games that are actually good?

Sadly, I started but never beaten A Link to the Past, Super Mario Brothers 3, Fallout 3, Oblivion, Castlevania 3 (SO HARD), No More Heroes, Mario Galaxy, Ocarina of time, and Okami. I know. Pathetic.

Usually when a game is really good I finish it.

I really enjoyed Valkyria Chronicles for the amount I played, but I got about half way through and something else came out and I just kind of forgot about it. I'll probably go back and finish that soon.

I also never finished the Witcher, even though I was loving it. But that was due to a technical problem, not my lack of ambition to complete it. I plan on it being the first game I finish when my new rig is finished later on this year.

And I just got Okami in the mail and I'm hoping it lives up to the praise it receives :D

Final Fantasy XIII. I got to ch.11 and just gave up. It was so boring. (first and only FF title I never finished). Oh wow I just noticed the title lol. NVM about FFXIII it was far from a great title (mediocre at best). As for the topic I didn't finish Bioshock 1,2 (got to the end of both titles just haven't finished them yet), System Shock 2, Deus Ex 1.

Persona 3. Loved the game, but I got tired of grinding.

I have yet to complete Ocarina of Time and BioShock...

If I didn't finish it it must not be THAT good (to me). But yes there are a few that could be quite good that I just wasnt getting into, such as:

Witcher (2 looks awesome)

STALKER: SoC

and more

I'm trying to finish Mass Effect 2. Its been 2 months since I hopped back on it.

Dark Cloud 2 and Shadow of the Colossus. I blame World of Warcraft.
What's unfortunate, is that I had put in at least 400 hours into Dark Cloud 2. Since it's been several years since I last played, I would likely have to start over. =(

I haven't played it for weeks now. Just suddenly got bored of it. Not sure if I will bother finishing it or not.

SMG 1, SMG 2, NMH1, NMH 2, Uncharted 2, Brutal Legend, Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, Amnesia, Batman AA, Civilization 5, HL2, HL2 EP1, HL2 EP2, Cryostasis, Darksiders, DMC4, Fallout New Vegas, Grey Matter, Metro 2033 (on purpose,) Nehrim, STALKER SoC, STALKER CoP, Singularity, Sniper Ghost Warrior, The Last Remnant, TDU2, Sims Medieval, The Witcher EE, Torchlight, Shogun 2, LoZ: WW (Saved got erased at last boss!,) Bioshock (HDD failure...at last boss!,)

Big list ain't it? Thats what happens when you have a family where everyone plays video games. Big ass library that I've yet to finish. Mostly cause I go back to playing WoW, Battlefield, or some other online game. :P

I haven't played it for weeks now. Just suddenly got bored of it. Not sure if I will bother finishing it or not.

Just got back into it and i kind of want to leave it alone again, but i have such a backlog that it'll haunt me if i don't finish it.

Dragon age origin. I enjoyed its c&c, but didn't like the spell system and level design ( mob distribution and huge maps, not its looks).

Persona 3. I was near the end and there was the choice. I just chose the easy one since the other one requires a bit grinding (tried that route and just lost interest, might finish it in the future)

There are others but these are the recent one that I played and got drawn into for a certain amount of time, however just couldn't finish them.

Bayonetta...I love the game, just got to a hard part and stopped and then forgot about it for a while, but I'll definitely finish it.

Majora's Mask because I hated the time management. I prefered it to OoT in many ways too but it got annoying. Also Metroid Prime 2 and 3, great gameplay but boring story and childish characters IMO.tomarlyn

I can't really object to your MM opinion since a lot of people say that exact same thing, but don't you realize that the time management system in that game is what makes it such a rich and rewarding experience??

As for your MP opinions,... I am at a loss. Those characters aren't much different than most video games. You must wretch at Halo or GoW.

I usually beat all my games, I worked through several on my backlog and only have Metroid Prime 3 and the single player from Monster Hunter Tri to beat :) Still working on extra stuff like 200% in DKCR, all the star coins in NSMB, unlocking stuff in TvC, etc though

Only game this gen that I haven't finished is Enslaved but that was intenionally not completed

demon's souls. great games, has a really nice feel to it, but i just keep procrastinating.

Vampire: The masquerade: Bloodlines.

I got to the second city 3 times and everytime my sister either deleted my save, or she got too many viruses on my comp for me to not justify reformatting(one of them even corrupted the bios). Needless to say shes not **** aloud near any of my electronics anymore.

Earthbound. Got a good deal into it, got lost at some point (and wasn't really into the internet back then as a kid), started to play other games at that point and never went back. Don't know if I will either since I know what the final boss is like already...

haven't beat Super Meat Boy either. Got two worlds in and stopped playing. Just got way more into DKCR and Contra games then, games that werw also challenging, yet also felt more rewarding to me.

I do mean to go back to Super Meat Boy though. Does have some pretty well-made level design.

Fallout 3 - as ridiculous as it sounds, I am REALLY scared of nuclear radiation. I dont even know why. I can't even bring myself to play games about it.

Dragon Age - Horrible UI, I hate equipping my team. The game itself is fun. I just dont want to spend all my time sifting through menus.

Metal Gear Solid 4 - Fricken cutscenes man...
