God of war is good enough for me to buy a ps3 for it. So i kind of agree with you. However, i doubt gow3 will be out in 2008, so you're kind of screwed there.

GeOW is only rumoured to come out in late 08 while GOW3 won't show up until 09.

oh and the two games are totally different, no point comparing

the only people who are going to be 'owned bad', as you so eloquently put it, are people who don't have both a ps3 and xbox 360 and so won't be able to enjoy both these [probably] great games

LOL at you. GOW is a better franchise in my opinon than NG. Also, GeOW has been out done and outdated by alot of games this gen. Get over it.

im going to buy a ps3 for mgs4 and god of war 3

though, what you say is a bit off for two reasons that i can see.

1) all the god of wars have been short, so short that i only rented god of war 1 and 2 (beat them both on the hardest difficulty)

2) no online play to bring people back time and time again after beating it

well at least this time one of them didnt make an account that was based on dbz universe.

Why do people keep saying, "They can't be compared?" As genres, that's obvious enough, but that doesn't mean fun factor is any less of a mediator just because they're two different games. Phrased more simply: I have more fun playing God of War than I do playing Gears of War.

Also, the graphics on God of War 3 are probably going to turn out better.

He's trying to say that proven franchises always get more sales. What he's not aware of is that the first GOW had sales comparable to its sequel.
