Franchises that you feel has had WAY too long of a hiatus?

Yeah, another one of these topics (but let's be honest, it's been a while).

As much as I can see why Nintendo won't bring them back due to sales and Miyamoto disliking several of the games developed by external sources (as said in an interview by Entertainment Weekly), I personally would like to see Star Fox (didn't Miyamoto also say the life of this franchise relies on 64 3D, only to sell decently in America, while unsurprisingly tank in Japan? For some reason, Wikipedia takes the statement as a joke) and F-Zero (Miyamoto also admitted he has NO clue what fans want from this) return.

It has been seven to nine freaking years respectively since we've seen new games get made and localized in those series and all we've seen of them are retro re-releases, Smash Bros (Fox is confirmed, Falcon likely will be too), and other cameos (Tekken Tag 2 and Nintendo Land).

Yeah.. MP only. The reason why i like Timesplitters (3 in particular) is because of the single player, which is extremely fresh, charming and down right funny to play.

One of the best campaigns i've ever played in a first person shooter was Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect. Cortez was awesome.

Sadly, while it sounds great in concept bringing well respected and much loved franchises back from the dead Usually results in bastardization from overpaid yuppies in suits who feel the franchse needs "modernized" for the current console generation. You fellows I feel are very short-sighted and seem to have very little understanding of how the universe works.

It sucks, i know, but platforming in general sucks in a first person perspective (from my personal experience) except for the sole exceptions you just mentioned.

Yep, gameplay wise most FPS have gone downhill from there. HL2 is still one of the best FPS out there.  Anyone who says HL2 "is an overrated piece of sh*t" has no freaking clue about games
