If you guys haven't already heard already Notch might bring Minecraft to OR after all lol. So much for his whole hipster fade if he going bring the game to it. The same people who were all freaking out about the buyout are still going get the OR. A friend of mine said the same thing and ended up getting the dev kit.

Looks like cows were trying exaggerate as if somehow the buy out was going somehow hugely impact OR negatively by loosing support yet hardly anything change other than some whinny hipster.

A few months have past and nothing seem to have change it still being supported and thousands of people already have the kits. So much for the people claiming it was going to be the downfall of OR yet the some of these people are still using it.

Every sensible person knew from the start that the massive recognition and capital brought by Facebook can only be good for OR and VR in general. However, people like their drama.

He may not like Facebook buying Oculus Rift, but that doesn't mean he will ignore a potential platform for Minecraft.

Well a least Facebook got that money to market it to the crowd. I think facebook would give it a lot more publicity.

OR would need to expand more than just gaming

Who cares? He's making a ton of money through Minecraft! He just wants to capitalize more on his product! Plus, he's far from being a hipster, as he is more of a marketing genius.

Is Minecraft even coming to Oculus Rift? I read the stuff about Notch getting over the Facebook acquisition of OR, but from what I saw there is no official word on Minecraft coming to the system.

And I beat you many of them were hipster that use facebook everyday.

Anyways what I wonder is how many people were really blowing this out of proportion other than those usual hipster types.

Last I heard, Notch doesn't control where Minecraft goes anymore, he's left that to other people.

If you're making an easy living, who cares about principles? He's already set for life now with that big pile of cash and an entrepreneur. All he has to do is wait for Minecraft to die down, then he will probably try to make another big seller

Because if he did ignore it, someone else would just make a clone for the platform anyway. There is no shortage of Minecraft clones as it is. But it is amazing what the prospect of money can do to one's personal morals. It turns them into a hypocrite every single time.
