It was bound to happen sooner or later. I'm still waiting for a Demon's Souls ripoff to be announced.
Games focused on user generated content are becoming popular, and for good reason.
LBP2 has the right mindset. Give near-mod tools to gamers to build whatever the hell they want. Then have a beautiful network backing it all so that it is easy to find the best content, and BAM you have a damn good $60 investment.
The only thing similar on the PC are mods and those are very complicated to build. Granted they end up being more robust and overall better, but for $60 you are giving tools to make a plethoraof games that, while not as full and robust as full games, still are tons of fun. I like it.
Ah, cool. I'd like to see some video demonstrations of this game. I'm pretty positive I won't play or buy it though.

I agree with this.
I still play Timesplitters: Future Perfect to this day. Its map editor is amazing. Even years after its initial release, I am still thinking of new maps I haven't built yet. These kind of games that have that encourage user creation should be getting popular.
Well it was bound to happen sooner or later.:P

Well said guys.Ah, EA...SaltyMeatballs
I wouldn't just shrug them off. They are the publisher behind some pretty good games this generation. They also have shown to be a bit innovative this gen too...
Noteables include: Mirror's Edge, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins, Burnout Paradise (who knew an open world racing game would work?), APB (damnit they tried), The Saboteur, FIFA 10...
I mean it could be Activision where we would have to pay to download all of the user generated content. :P
So, if Little Big Planet is the Mario killer and this Create thing is the Little Big Planet killer, does that mean that Create killed Mario twice or something?
Still.. LBP2 cannot beat Gmod. And that came out in 2006. :)

Ehh I think it can compete pretty easily.
GMod,while great, lacks real structure and usability. LBP has that and I'm sure this new one by EA will be similar.
Anything that promotes user generated content with a great way of distributing it, is awesome in my books.
Silly EA. Copy a good game instead. Like Demons souls! Pretty please?

For you, many actually like this whole knew create, play & share thing.
I think it'll be a decent game.

I agree. But they haven't been shy about cloning games. Also, WTF I deleted that message a while ago. ^No because Create is the Little Big Planet 2 Killer since Little Big Planet 2 isn't a Platformer like Little Big Planet 1 it is a different genre becuase you can create any genre in LBP2.So, if Little Big Planet is the Mario killer and this Create thing is the Little Big Planet killer, does that mean that Create killed Mario twice or something?

LBP wasn't a good game??!?!?!! Sadly, the reviews points out otherwise;)Silly EA. Copy a good game instead. Like Demons souls! Pretty please?

BTW, LBP and DS recieved the same score here, but LBP have a higher overall score at GR and MC. Just thought that i can point that out for you.

Of course EA isn't shy to copy. It's a safer investment to invest into something proven than to always innovate. Last gen I shurgged EA off for the most part because they really put an emphasis on in-house developing and just making safe games, no real risky investments. However they turned around and decided to stop in-house developing everything and publishing some pretty unique titles.
If they keep a good balance, I don't have a problem and I will keep buying their products.
wait so LBP does something so now EA can't do it because it a rip off and sucks without any of you even trying it out? :|
play it before you disgrace it IMO if the game is as good as LBP people shouldn't be bashing it EA owns the sim games and you can do a lot of weird stuff in those similiar to the freedom in LBP so i wouldn't say ea stole this whole idea
This could be for people that don't own a PS3 that wants to play a game similar to Little Big Planet 2. Because this is also on Xbox 360, PC, and Wii.They're releasing it the same month as LittleBigPlanet 2? Well EA, good luck with that.

I hope MM stop using the copyright rule i found that quite harsh, And are little bit paranoid if they think there going to get sued to due to a player placing a few mario items or making some levels based off some games. Gmod has tons of ported models and props and Garry has only be warned once by EA due to some rude model based off faith from Mirror Edge. Apart from that LBP 2 will be very good. :PThey are? Interesting decision. They're releasing it the same month as LittleBigPlanet 2? Well EA, good luck with that.

They are? Interesting decision. LOL! EA has balls doing that. why? People who MIGHT just think about getting a PS3 just to play LBP2 might just change their mind since they can get a smiliar game on every other platform now. The PS3 sales might night be too great but i can see it selling well on the others.[QUOTE="SaltyMeatballs"]What else has EA clones this gen? And very similar clones. GOW clone (Dantes Inferno), soon a COD clone (Medal of Honor beard man), and now we see this LBP clone (Create). I am probably missing something.Mystic-GAlso missing, APB (attempting to capitalize on GTA's success), MMA (attempting to capitalize on UFC's success), and Facebreaker (Ready 2 Rumble boxing anyone?)
Dead Space. Pretty sure thats a clone of something.
Ubisoft is doing the same thing with ManiaPlanet (Trackmania 2, Questmania and Shootmania). ;)RyuRanVIIAll hail ubisoft!
