I remember people said they wouldn't but EA games because they're shot but people are using this argument now?
I'm not interested in EA games for years, so it's pretty easy to avoid this EA access thingie.
Eh.
Agreed.
MAss Effect is the only series I've own from EA in years.
I was late to the BF party...and BF4 left a bad taste in my mouth....MAdden and FIFA stilll suck as I remember them sucking. So yeah....I don't foresee anything from EA that I really want that would make Access a good deal.
Not this POS again.....who actually gives 1 **** about what this guy says or thinks?
Hopefully a ton of people because he's right almost every time. Spot on once again Jim, I'd thank him for reminding the robots that AAA is worth close to jack and shit as per usual.

He has no credibility if he doesn't talk about the rip off PSN Now is....seems like a fanboy to me ( I know people say he isn't )

Pretty sure he's ripped into Sony many a time, which he probably should have. He definitely has back when he was doing Dismal Jesters.
I am not sold on this service. Never have been.
So what would it take to sell you on the service?
Games that I want to play. That's really what it comes down to for me. I play games. As their Vault increases I am sure there will be some that I didn't play and would like to. Whether I want to pay for this in order to do so is yet to be seen.

Oh, he was rough on the Playstation repeatedly last generation and the Vita. He's not a new guy that sprung up.

Yeah I am waiting for PVZ, Need for Speed to be in the vault before subscribing. Also if you buy digital games saving 10% and trying 5 days before release is pretty good too.
So tell me the worst thing about EA doing this.
Did you not watch the video? If this takes off more publishers are also going to be jumping in. It's more nickel and diming and EA surely won't be enjoying this cashflow by themselves (if it does take off). You wanna pay Rockstar, Ubisoft, SquareEnix and Capcom as well?

He does bash Sony in the video for the inclusion of paying for online access on the PS4.
bu bu bu bu its a good dealZzz!!11 amirite @b4x
Jims blood sugar is low.
2.50 a month is a horrible deal for full games to play. /said no one ever.
How old of games is yet to be seen and is it known if you keep the games when you let your EA sub run out?

Its no worse than PS+
Well PSN+ is better since SONY, the current gen 8 leader with the world's most powerful video game console the PS4, is behind it.
*yawn* got anything new?

I do.
And I'm curious on how the future of EA Access will be. Or maybe ALL other game accesses. :-\
Let´s omit the fact that he said it was a good deal eh? He just doesn´t trust AAA publishers to make good on a business model like this in the long run.
And for good reason they already started to do what he said they were going to do and EA Access isn't even out of the gate yet.

Yeah I saw that,I was just saying he wasn´t exactly against it like the thread implies,at all.
He has his opinion and its just as valuable as everyone else's . In my opinion its a good value and if Activision or Ubisoft came out with a subscription plan that offered good value I wouldn't have a problem with that .
I don't see how anyone can have a problem with this. PSNow was fine when the pricing structure wasn't announced and fanboys where rabid in these forums about how a yearly sub would put the nails in Microsofts coffin.
In New Zealand the service is 39.99 a year, a full priced game here costs $110, now for the fraction of the price of a single game I can play and finish any game EA puts on the service, including Dragon Age: Inquisition. Now how is this a bad deal or bad for gaming or consumers? Who cares if you dont keep the game, it's so cheap that that shouldn't be a problem. Again PS+ has has Sony fans frothing at the mouth for years, but guess what! You don't keep those either.
Its a nice service for unaware dudebros that roam on Microsoft consoles, the true dumbasses that know nothing else but CoD and BF. Whatever MS, Activision or EA says is true n great for them so let their titties get milked, they're the ones losing and no1 else.

Because EA are taking digital goods away that were free and putting a price tag on them. Demos.

That's a very very small price to pay for such a bargain of a service. I never expect to get everything I want, to the people that sign up to this, exclusive access to "Demos" (as they are the full game only restricted) makes the deal even better.
@commonfate: they're taking away demos for their games. When it comes down to it, they don't even have to offer it. The service is only $5. Instead of looking at it as paying for a demo, think of it as not only getting a few games for "free", but you also get 10% off the final purchase, which comes out to $6 off.

Watch it dude, it's not bad. His main gripes are he doesn't trust EA or any big publishers and if this succeeds, you can bet other publishers will be following. Then we'll have a bunch of subsrciption services. He also mentions XBL and PS+
Here is an IGN article that raises many of the same concerns.

I do have to agree with what both men presented. It's a slippery slope and I'll be kicking and screaming all along the way down. Will we need to have a separate subscription for everything before gamers say enough?

SONY is on a ROLL this gen, don't you agree? It's wonderful to be a part of.
