Dreamfall Chapters first gameplay footage

subsidized by the norwegian government and it had a succesful kickstarter. Here is the first gameplay footage they released this past week

This actually looks much better than I thought. Last alpha footage looked god damn awful. This one instead looks pretty decent.

Can't f***ing wait . Another emotional journey . The game is still is early development though . Can't wait to see how final game will look like at the end of this year .

But it has all the fancy reflection shaders Infamous Second Son does. Light beams are everywhere and super bright. That must mean it's good, no?

Honestly, it looks like the first Dreamfall: The Longest Journey with some additional, new-age tech thrown in. It's not great, but it's not bad. Not by point-an-click adventure standards.

It is prototype gameplay . The game is going to look different in final release .

And despite that cam recording , I think the game looks good enough to be enjoyed (even in this state) .

Dont like the characters face they made her so ugly compared to TLJ. Ill still buy it though as the game is pretty much guaranteed to be great going by the previous games in this series.

Seriously can't wait, have very high hopes for this game. TLJ and Dreamfall were amazing.

And honestly who cares if it doesn't have the best graphics.

That's no excuse. There are some hot looking indie games.

Glad they are bringing this to WiiU. Main character model looks decent for this point in development. It should look better when finished.

Other than that, it's going to PC, Linux and Mac so we can call this a PC and WiiU Exclusive

I'm with you,the Longest Journey is one of my favourite adventure games so as soon as i saw this on kickstarter i dropped some money on it,i would have liked to see it return as a point and click adventure game but i'm happy as it is,at least they removed the awkward action bits that they had in dreamfall.

And at least Ragnar Tørnquist is back on board aswell as many of the original devs so i have faith in it turning out at least decently.

Coming to WiiU? Hot damn, that's good news. Any particular reason as to why they chose WiiU?

I made a thread on this a while ago lol I forgot about it until now. They chose WiiU because Nintendo approached them about porting it to WiiU.

That's cool. Wonder how they're gonna use the gamepad. Should be good with some puzzles.

Yeah I'm wondering that too. Maybe it can be the HUD in vehicles as well, considering she uses vehicles.

it's really and adventure RPG, it's not suppose to have superior gameplay.

Thats what I thought at first. If it's more like how the longest journey was, then I'll take that.

They said Nintendo was extremely interested in the game , even before announcement of it . So , they decided it to release it on Wii U as well , but if you go to their website it says it is for other consoles too so it is not Wii U console exclusive .

It'll be released on PC first then will be ported to Wii U and later to PS4 and Xbox One .

They also want to bring it to Tablets , once all other versions are out .

Never played The Longest Journey, but I'll have to get that and this.

The city reminded me more of the Stark from LJ, yet I didn't catch that future vibe from it...so far anyway.

I wonder how the inventory wheel will play-out.

I hope there's not just a lot of running around...I can accept that the point & click is gone, yet I hope they keep it somewhat segmented and not full open-world style. The first game, every "scene" had something in it to progress the story/level.

Just because it's out on Wii U doesn't mean it's crap
