Someone who knows Sony will always have great games and sees future games coming, likes the PS4, likes the controller, wants a very-very fast and impressive gaming machine with very high resolution graphics, and wants a machine obviously built with gaming 1st and foremost with great GPU power and GDDR 5 RAM. They also know that if they wait til a price drop occurs they'll be waiting over a year, so might as well buy it now and enjoy a superb "GAMING" machine instead of buying an X1 for more and having not as highly optimized machine for gaming quality and resolution, because MS focused on making it have other apps for TV etc which reduced the hardware they could put in it and thus reduced gaming quality when compared to PS4.

I know the games out and games coming months ahead before buying it. I also knew the hardware was the highest of any console coming and knew that it wasn't loaded with many other apps to bog down CPU and hog the RAM and GPU and that MS was focused on an all around entertainment console and not focused on making the gaming the most important thing. As usual MS is looking for ways to soak more money out of their consumers with TV and they tried DRM to stop renting and add used game fees to make even more. Good thing Sony was around to embaress them and they withdrew that crap.
